I have no idea what the time is where you all are! But here in the UK it is 7.35pm, and we got home about half an hour ago from a lovely long walk on a very beautiful empty beach. I've just had some printer ink delivered so I am hoping to get on my photos for today straight away!

ashley how was your first week? Exciting? It was really exciting!!! It's a really huge system, so getting started the first two days was super busy. Everyone I've met has been incredibly nice and helpful, and I hope it's going to be a great place to work. Happy to hear it went well!

Checking in late because I was up until 4:30 am ... scrapbooking! Bonus points for staying up 'til 4:30 scrapbooking! I second that! thanks to everyone for checking in and sharing what's going on, scrappy or not! I didn't mean to exclude the card makers but don't like the term papercrafts! Anyone got anything better that's inclusive? i'm checking back in after a fun, hot afternoon in the sun! I'm making it my mission to read every post before we go out again so still won't get scrapping!

(I did have to stop and cook though.)
I use crafter and crafting, as I use to get looks from people if I say "scrapbooker" or scrapbooking.

I finally have a few minutes, yay! I worked all day cleaning my newly remodeled kitchen and putting the last items away.
I stayed up until midnight last night sorting a large photo order I received.
I should be a the Minnesota Twins baseball game tonight, but it's too hot for DH, so we gave our tickets away. Don't tell him, but I'd rather be home in my pajamas, like we are.

Good evening ladies! I have just moved into my craft room and am ready to get to work. My goals for tonight are: 1) Finish Putting my Room Back Together ~ My best friend and her family moved in for about a month after they were flooded out of their house, while waiting to close on their new house. So my room was rearranged and I wasn't able to get to my scrappy shelves. A chair full of items built up so I will tackle that tonight and have DH move the chair out. Texas peas, this was the San Macos flood so I am running a bit behind LOL. In my defense, my in-laws came for a week in July so I didn't want to put it it back together before their visit. I need a guest room or a Murphy bed! 2) 2 GASC Class Kits ~ mjmone inspired me. Of course, mine are from years ago and hers are recent, but still 3) Finish putting away embellishments and alphas from recent order ~ This is a recent need, so go me! Just received a massive order on Monday and already have the papers and collections put away. I even put together a page kit (sans photos) last night. So just need to finish up 4) Decide & order next set of photos to scrap ~ This is the hardest part for me. Gathering all possible photos (often others have copies from event), decide which to scrap and in what size, and ordering them. After that things start falling together for me. I came across some Renaissance Fair photos from 2006 that have me motivated so I think that's probably what I'll concentrate on. @ellanah I hope your mom is okay! Just some water for me, hope it helps my headache go away.

This is fun!! I worked all morning at our farmer's market and then went home and slept for 3 hours (not feeling well the past few days) and am at work now until 9. But I"m hoping to scrap a bit tonight after I get home and tomorrow afternoon/evening. I have to get some pictures ordered for my PL and I have a couple LO's in mind for some AE story kit projects.
Anyway, looking forward to go through all the threads for the happy hour! It's my first!

Nobody is drinking cocktails? I was meant to check back in at the cocktail hour but got a little distracted between reading posts and making dinner. I had planned to go out tonight but decided against it because we have an early morning tomorrow so I'm enjoying getting caught up. LisaDV, I think I was following your trail as I could see what you'd liked!

LisaDV, I think I was following your trail as I could see what you'd liked! It's almost 7 here so I could be, but don't have any. I enjoy a drink or wine once in awhile, but I don't buy it regularly so I have to pick it up when I want something. Too late lol.

mikklynn, a newly remodeled kitchen, that is exciting!!! dewryce, I need to do the photo order thing. My printer decided to stop working. I'm hating it, as I'm a print at home gal. alittleintrepid, I think I was following you on a couple. I did have red wine with dinner. I was thinking of having another glass and cleaning my desk, but I think I'll have ice cream, a cool shower, and then clean my desk. --I'm melting in the heat. Our 100yr old farm house doesn't have air and it's usually not an issue, but tonight my craft room is too warm.

I have wine doesitmatter, come on over! I actually got way too much sun this afternoon to drink anything but water! LisaDV, I have the opposite problem....my craft room is in the basement and I have to add a layer of clothing to go down there, even in the summer!

Hello! I didn't scrap today, but I did go to my LSS. She was having a 40% off dies sale and well, I had to do my part for the economy. My husband left on Tuesday to go see his mom in South Dakota and sell the family house. I happily stayed home with my two boys who have been pains in the butts while he is gone. They love to gang up on me and talk in movie quotes and take advantage of the situation. Thankfully I am tough and used to their shenanigans. I did walk the dogs around the lake with one of my boys and listened to the thunder and lightening come over the mountains. Now I am putzing around putting off doing any scrapping.

After a week in Colorado with 21 of my closest relatives, dh promised he got copies of everyone's pics and I will be busy for 6 MONTH'S when we get home. We hiked, whitewater rafted, rode a train, biked, ice skated and rock climbed. We are having a little extended time with dg who is 12 for the next 3 days and racking up some more memories.

LisaDV No A/C? I'd be a melted puddle. I am always hot these days. Poor DH has to bundle up in our family room. Luckily he's very understanding.

mikklynn, We do hope to put central air in, but it's not on the plan until the whole upstairs and at least everything but the kitchen downstairs is finished. It was low 90's yesterday and will be today. In the shade outside and the great room inside it's fine. But my craft room has one long but narrow window, so there is no air flow through it. It gets stuffy.

It's been really hot this weekend in so cal. I just haven't felt like scrapping. Hubby and I went to a local brewery yesterday to get out of the house and it was nice. I really need to clean my desk and start working on some Christmas presents and journal your Christmas base pages and cards. I'm think I am going to do it with PL style. I am caught up on laundry and the house is clean and I don't think I have any errands to run tomorrow so I hope that while DS is in school I can start working on projects and cleaning my desk.

so sorry that i missed out on this this weekend…it just got away from me! anyway, i am going to play along with some of the threads that aren't time sensitive! just water in my glass right now (so, so warm and humid today) and i hope to write my notes for WITL and #hscapture30 tonight as well as cleaning up my scrap desk. i have been really busy trying to sell all of the extra things from my stash in order to get myself to a bare minimum so now i have the task of organizing what is left. looking forward to it!

Hello scrappy friends! Checking in from MD, where I have NOT been for the past month due to traveling! First, a quick stop at my parent's place in SC (10 hour drive) to pick up extended family before driving further south (seven hour drive) for a week of vacation in Panama City Beach FL (back to SC afterwards, seven hours). Then, after driving home to MD (another 10 hour drive), flying out to KS to take care of DD after her wisdom teeth extraction. Finally, this past weekend in OH for our friends' daughter's wedding (14 hour drive round trip). Hmm, maybe it doesn't sound like all that much, but I stuffed all this activity and driving/flying in three and a half weeks. I'm pooped! Then today DS2's storage stuff from college (in SC) shows up at UHaul and we have to go chase that down (more driving, plus towing the "Ubox" back and forth) and get it moved into his new storage place here. It was 90+ degrees with a bad air quality advisory going on as we unloaded everything. Long day, but it's done. So long story short, lol, I have not had any time to post or do anything scrap-related this summer! However! I do have lots of pictures to print and hopefully be inspired by them to make some pages! And with that all said, I'm back in the fray
