I'd post a photo but it is really too embarrassing! My desk currently has a stack of photos that need to go in albums, two in progress 12 by 12 pages, embellishments I pulled for a PL spread, two containers of pens and one of random supplies (adhesives, cutting tools etc.). I also have a container of alpha stickers and a container of stamps, ink..... You get the idea. Time to clean up!
so, what's on your desk right now?? Do you need it tidy? Do you clean as you go? Get caught up in the process and put it all away later? (This one is me...obviously!)

Tidy, I clean it off before every scrap session. I start with only a mat on the table. I do have a pair of wire stable shelves that is on the corner of my table that as a large tin where I put by scraps for that scrap session, a small box with post it notes that I use for notes on the layout if I need something or have to finish something, and for securing my waffer thin dies when I go to cut something. Everything else has its own place in my room and I go get it and bring it to my table. I use a standing table so it is easy for me to move around and grab stuff.

Get caught up in the process and put it all away later? (This one is me...obviously!) Have you been peeking in my room?? My scrap table has almost the same assortment as you described! No alpha stickers or PL items, but a lot of tags I already cut, plus a variety of punches...but there's actually a clear spot on my cutting mat ready for me to start the next page (after I narrow down which 3-4 of the 10 photos from the stack will go on it)...So, no need to clean up yet - I've got scrapping to do! I keep my most-used supplies near me in an organizer on the table top, and I try to leave my space ready for the next session when I finish up a session. Which means leaving the in-progress LO ready to go: background paper selected, photos chosen (at least narrowed down to a selection to choose from), scraps from the previous page moved into the scrap basket on my side table. (See, you didn't ask what was on my side table...!)

Mine's super messy because it's become a catch-all during the week while I'm working. Here's a picture.. new photos and new product I received this week... basket of photos in envelopes... various pencil boxes and tins that I sometimes take with me for my commute for work... my cardigans I take off when I get home.... storage containers that have been moved around/repurposed during the past week. A book that needs to be repaired. The

Mine goes from absolutely trashed, layers deep to totally clean. I also am lucky enough to have a dedicated craft room with lots of storage. Right now it's bad as I am getting ready for a crop

My boxes of beading supplies, five pics and a few paint sample cards that I might make into embellishments to go with the photos, a stack of old scrapping mags that I need to pitch, the normal scrapping stuff like a cup of pens, scissors, a basket of small assorted tools and embellies and a yellow Dollar Store bag of socks to go to Goodwill.

I'm convinced my desk doesn't have a surface. It's got everything on it. I need to tidy!

My desk surface is covered right now. I like to start out with it clear but it quickly becomes a huge mess. I have an album on it that I have been putting layouts in, an 8.5x11 photo that I need to scrap, assorted punches, acrylic stamp blocks, ink, and some Kleenex. The stuff that is always there includes a bin of alpha stickers, some paper holders with pp in them, a bag with often used supplies, (pens, scissors, punches, foam dots, etc...) and my trimmer. It's a hot mess right now.

I am trying to get DS's graduation stuff finished. He graduated two years ago. I have pics from his senior year, an Iris case of papers I have been using, my spinning tool holder, my Craftsman pink tool carrier filled with 6x6 pads, photo envies, my stamps, scraps, pencil, rulers, stickers, home made cards to file. Just a big mess!

Mine is covered with all the scraps and leftovers of children's crafts. We had "Cousin Camp" here with my grandchildren last week, and I haven't cleaned it all up yet. Big mess, but huge memories.

My scraproom is under construction right now. My room is in our basement and it flooded a bit in July. I had to have water extracted, dried out, and cleaned. No damage to the walls, thankfully. Now I'm moving everything back in and reorganizing. I figured I might as well make some changes while I was at it. I bought myself a new desk and more organizers. My desk top is clean because everything is on the floor!

No, thankfully most of my stash is in Iris boxes and off of the floor. The only items that were a loss were paper items I kept in the laundry room, which is where the water source was.

I have a spinner with scissors, stapler, pens, a couple of camera stamps and Prima inks and misc. stuff like tweezers, paper piercer...
On the other side, I have a box with all my adhesives/glues/pop dots...and next to it, my glass cutting mat and a ruler.
in front of that, I have a couple of glass bowls...one with flair and one with mostly arrow paper clips.

Mine is relatively clean right now, but only because I completely cleared it off recently when I spent some time reorganizing my supplies. It has a tool caddy, lamp, an 8x8 album, paper organizer, and some scraps of paper from the album in progress.
This is my loft above the living room. I can see the tv as I work. It's the perfect place to watch baseball games!

The water source was in the laundry room, but flooded into the two ajoining rooms and out into the hallway. My daughters and I started putting down towels and blankets right away to stop the water from going further. Then we started taking everything out of my scrapbooking room as quickly as possible. We had to pile everything up in our family room. There were just small pathways by the time we were done. I'm just glad none of the drywall was damaged. My main concern was(is) mold. The professionals assured me that the since the water was extracted right away mold shouldn't be an issue. I hope not!

I have seen those, but have never seen anyone use them on a layout. Have you?

Yes! 6x6 paper fits in mine as well. Mine's kinda rusty though, because it was a vintage piece from a barn sale. I do sometimes use straws on pages. I don't mind a bit of bulk. Here's a page I made recently. You can't tell in the photo but I did flatten the straw down slightly so it wasn't quite so round and rolly. On this page I just used a little piece to hang a sort of banner from: On this one, I used a straw for a feather shaft: I made a paper arrow for this Valentine's page: Another feather on this page!

I am working on making a card box for a co-worker's wedding. I had never heard of such a thing but she told me she heard I was "crafty" and could I help her out. I had to find some on Pinterest so I would know what she wanted so right now my desk is covered with navy fabric, silver ribbon, hot glue, rhinestones and silver tulle. Tomorrow I will get out my sewing machine to make some flowers for the box.
