Currently we have an Oster that is horrible and does not work well enough to make smoothies. I've been looking at Ninjas and wondering if anyone has any feedback on any of those models?
My daughters are anxious for us to get a new one--they're frustrated with ours not being able to make good smoothies. I have $40 in Kohls cash so I was hoping to maybe use it for a new blender this week.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

I love love love love my Nutribullet. I love that that I can blend, and put a lid on it and take it with me. Easy to clean. And fast!

I have two Ninjas. I bought a 900 watt version earlier this year for protein shakes/smoothies/frozen cocktails. It works great. Everything comes out very smooth with no lumps. It's this version: Ninja 900 watt Then I happened to see the updated version of the same blender on QVC and I bought that one so I could give DS the first Ninja for his college off campus house. It's this model: Ninja 1100 watt I like this one because I can blend nuts into nut butters and grate my chunks of parmesan in it. I liked the idea of a Vitamix but didn't want to spend that much and wasn't interested enough in the other features (like making soup) to justify the added expense.

We bought the Ninja (Ultra Kitchen System, 1200watt) from Costco back in March and really like. It came with 3 individual cups so you can blend individual smoothies/drinks, with to-go lids for each, large 72 oz blender pitcher to make a blender-full of whatever, 64 oz batter bowl (takes the place of a mixer/chopper).
I had a 22 yr. old Oster Kitchen Center that incorporated blender, mixer, food processor and ice cream maker. The only part that wasn't working well was the blender, which is what I use it most for. I'm really happy that I could replace it with one appliance that that works well and priced decently.

I bought my daughter a Ninja for Christmas so she could make smoothies and they were rated very high. She loves it. I believe it was either the 1000 or 1200 watt model

Ninja over here! I checked them against the vitamix and they have the same horsepower and watts without the price tag. You can't do soups but I didn't care about that.

I feel like I post this a lot, I swear I don't work for Ninja! I did a lot of research and was ready to get a Vitamix, but decided to try the Nutri Ninja Pro. So glad I did. It does everything I need it to, blends everything as fine as you want. I use it a lot! I've made soup, muffin batter, dips, ice pop filling, etc, in addition to smoothies. Easy to clean and store, doesn't take up room. I actually purchased mine at Kohls too bcz I had coupons and got it for around $90. Totally worth it. www.kohls.com/product/prd-1805640/nutri-ninja-pro-blender.jsp

I have the Nutribullet and I love it. Just the regular one, but I did get some extra cups for it. I've not had a problem with the smoothies not being smooth enough.
Both my dil's have it, too, and they both use it for much more than just smoothies, and love it.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money give the Cooks Brand (JC PENNEY) a try. They have 2 versions of the Nutribullet knockoff. Normally run 50% off. We have the smaller one at work, everyone uses it & loves it....works great & if someone steals it, not out much money.

DH asked fro a NutriBullet for Christmas a couple of years ago. As we have a blender and very expensive juicer already I wasn't really wanting another appliance, but he rarely asks for anything specific so he got it. That little powerhouse has earned a spot on the kitchen counter it gets used so much. Makes great smoothies and I use it to blend soups too.
If I was buying now, I'd definitely go for the Ninja.
