We just got back from holidays and I have a bunch of photos to print. I have a decent home printer but it will take a lot of ink to print this many so I am looking to have them printed professionally. I have used WalMart and Snapfish in the past and while they weren't horrible, I haven't rushed back to use them.
ETA: I am in Canada so I think this will limit some of my choices.

trollie, mpix looks really good but I should have noted in the OP that I live in Canada - delivery is $30 on top of the cost per pic!

Costco for me too. I like their luster finish and the prices are right too.

I have been looking for a place as well. I have a couple thousand photos to print (ashamed) because all my pics are digital and it bothers me.
I looked into Picaboo because they have great sales. I figured 600 photos with shipping to Canada would be about $65 which is reasonable for me. I was going to order a small batch before I print them all. I have ordered ca landers and canvases from them and was very happy.
I will have to check Costco. I never thought of them.

I use Walmart. I uploaded 92 prints last Friday at 3:00 p.m. They were delivered the next day via FedEx. Total cost was $12.71. They look great and you can't beat the price!

I use Costco and Walmart, both. It just depends where I'll be shopping as to who I upload to.

Costco, but you can't order photos online now. It's been down for a couple months. We wanted to do a photo book for our college freshman to take to college, but now we can't. We can't even access our online folders, so we will have to wait until they get it working again. I hope they fix it soon!

trollie, I'm bummed too because they looked like really nice products and they have great reviews. Thanks for the info on Costco's online service - I was getting a bunch ready to upload and decided to take a break and check back in. Rainy_Day_Woman, I think that is a very reasonable price as well. I'll check them out. I just got an email from Snapfish and they have 10 cent prints right now and shipping is $4.99 for 41+ prints but as no one has said they are a fan maybe I'll pass...

I'm really, really bad at getting my photos printed. I've tried a few online places and have been happy with them (persnickety prints is one that I can remember.)
I needed to get a couple of quick 5x7s a couple of weeks ago and decided to try our local CVS. I was surprisingly very happy with the results. Perhaps the quality was good because it's a new store with all new printing equipment? In any case, I'll continue using that particular store when I do want prints.

I use Costco too, but have used Shutterfly to share photos and make photobooks to send to family in Canada. Right now they have a free shipping to Canada for orders over $70 if that helps.
I don't remember ever ordering prints from them, so can't comment on the quality, but have always been happy with the photobooks.

Sam's Club. They got new machines this year and I'm amazed at the results I've gotten from them. It's better than Shutterfly which seems to have gone downhill the last few years.

I almost always use Shutterfly but I haven't seen anyone else post that one. I have used Snapfish in the past with no complaints but for no particularly large reason, go to Shutterfly. They always have great sales and one time I did have a problem(they were lost by the post office), they overnighted me my pics even though I told them they didn't have to.

I'm starting to think that hopping around to the newest stores/machines is the way to go. It makes sense that as the printers age, the quality goes down, and new printers = newer, better technology.
