Anyone know why I get text notifications from everyone except DS??
It has gotten to the point that if I don't respond to his text, he texts his sister who then texts me to read brother's text. DS's text is always there and shows as a new, unread text but I didn't get the notification ding that it came in?
I can't help feeling this is something simple, but I can't figure out how to fix it - any ideas?

The only thing I can think of and I've not had an iPhone in months but check his profile on your phone and make sure there is a noise setting on his. I know you can program different ringtones so maybe there is a silent or none entered text tone for him by chance?

Go to the entry for your DS in Contacts. Tap "Edit" in the upper right corner. Scroll down to "Text Tone" and see what it says. If it's set to "none" - change it to something. If it's not set to none... I don't know.

This was happening to me with DH's texts. Somehow I (or a child that I let play a game on my phone more likely) set DH to "Do Not Disturb". I figured it out when I looked at his contact info/details.

I was going to suggestion Do Not Disturb. Go to your green message folder and find a message from him. Tap on it then tap on the blue "Details". Under that you should see his name, then location stuff then under that is do not disturb. Make sure it's all white. If the switch is slid over and you see green, tap it to turn DND off. Hope it works!

Now you need to text your daughter to text her brother and have him send you a text so you can see!
