Not one, but three packages. One was supposed to be delivered yesterday (according to Amazon tracking.)
The other two were due today. Tracking said they were "out for delivery".
At 5:54 pm, I received *two* text messages saying the packages were delivered and placed "in or near the garage". What? I've been getting packages from Amazon at this address for 5 years - on the porch. A big covered porch. Why would a driver put packages "in the garage" (which are ALWAYS closed, so that's not going to happen - ever). "By the garage" ?? in the dirt? in the bushes? Why would a driver do that? In any event, no packages anywhere.
And I love this. According to the Amazon help section "Wait 36 hours - in rare cases packages may say delivered up to 36 hours prior to arrival". Wait. What? They record a package as delivered - and it's really not? And so much for so called "guaranteed 2-Day delivery".
Okay. Vent over. Now I have to wait to report the missing packages and then hope they have what I need in stock.
Sigh. It's just been one of those days.
Any one else have any vents they want to share?

I just had the exact same problem with three packages! They were supposed to be here Friday. They didn't come Saturday, so I emailed customer service they told me if they did not come by Monday to contact them again so I contacted them Monday and they just shipped out a whole new set of everything I ordered Next Day Air and gave me a $25 credit on my Amazon account.

This is the war I waged with Amazon this weekend. What about "Same Day Delivery" means you can deliver it a day and a half later? Why did i spend the extra money qualifying for same day delivery when I didn't get my needed items anyway? This resulted in some choice words from me and some bullshit excuses and passing the buck from Amazon. They tried to blame the delivery service they use but the delivery service said they didn't even get the items until more than 24 hours later so how could they deliver it the same day? Ggrrrrrrr I was so pissed at Amazon.
They wound up up refunding the extra money I spent to qualify for same day deliver and extended my Prime membership an extra month. Oh boy. Bastards.

This has been happening to me a few times--and it's ALWAYS when Amazon contracts with the PO to finish the delivery. Each time it's happened to me, and I call Amazon, they have told me that it's at the local PO.

Each time it's happened to me, and I call Amazon, they have told me that it's at the local PO. Every time it happens to me it's because it was passed to the postal service. I'm not sure what qualifies for UPS and what for the post office, but I think it's the smaller stuff that goes via the post office. And they are almost incompetent (at least ours are) so I always expect problems when I see my package went there.

It happened to me last week and turned into a really stressful experience. The UPS message was that the street name or the street number were wrong and for me to contact Amazon. I've received packages from Amazon at this address for several years, at least weekly. An Amazon customer rep and I determined that they attempted to deliver my package to the WRONG TOWN, meaning the package got loaded onto the wrong truck. Delivery was supposed to have been last Friday and I didn't get it till this Tuesday.
By the way, Amazon is going to be offering a VISA card to all us Prime subscribers.

I had this happen with a small jar of embossing powder. Said it was delivered on porch. It was not. It shipped to Hawaii (I'm in CO) and eventually showed up in my mailbox. Very strange.

Maybe the people responsible for packing up your items got sidetracked crying at their desks.

Argh. I can't even find where/how to contact them.
Where in the world on the Amazon site is the contact information hidden?
Help me! (said sadly and forlornly)
TIA

Argh. I can't even find where/how to contact them. Where in the world on the Amazon site is the contact information hidden? Help me! (said sadly and forlornly) TIA There's a "help" option right along the top line where it has your name...mine says [my name]amazon.com then "today's deals" and "gift cards" and "sell" and then "help". Click there, scroll down to something like "more help" or maybe "contact us" comes first...anyway, there's an option to have a live chat with an Amazon employee. I always go this route because you don't have to struggle with a difficult accent on a poor phone connection.
