It's my birthday soon and DH is going back to the US on business. I'd like to order some charm packs or layer cakes to be delivered to his hotel so he can bring them back. Can anyone recommend a good online store please?

Wait wait wait..... You are in Asia right? ? Home to the most fabulous fabric markets? My mother's cousin's used to go Beijing or Japan twice a year to buy fabric. Nothing the US had was comparable.

LOL - yes I'm in Japan and I have have quite the stash of Asian inspired fabrics. However their selection of Christmas fabric is quite minimal since it's a Buddhist country!! I also need to stock up on interfacing, but I can't read the labels here so I'm going to order it from Amazon or Joanns!!

I am happy with fabric.com I order from them too about 2x a year now. Not nearly as much as I used to because they quit giving out coupons and their prices are much higher than they used to be. A disappointed customer after having it so good for so many years.

I have happily bought from fabric.com and fabric worm.com.
Check out etsy too - there are lots of fabric sellers who run stores through that site too, and I find their shipping is often a little less expensive.

Green Fairy Quilts specializes in pre cuts and has good prices (and it appears they are having a sale!)

I've done the Fat Quarter Shop too, and recently came across Lady Belle Fabrics. Diary of a Quilter blog was doing a giveaway for them. Haven't used them though.

Another for fat quarter and fabric.com, however not charm packs but Hawthorne Threads has some beautiful fabric..some items also sold on Fabric.com but their own line is very nice. Missouri Star Quilts is another good store for Jelly Rolls and Charm packs and they really ship lightening fast.

I've shopped at fatquarter and fabric.com. Both are fairly quick with their shipping. Joann's is slower so unless he's going to be in the US for a while, I wouldn't depend on JoAnn's to ship to the hotel on time. A site I've ordered from before is Carolina Cotton Company. However, her selection is not as expansive as say fabric.com. At least with her, you can order half yards without being charged more.

Where is he going to be?
You can google to see if there is a Joann's or Hancock fabrics. Even walmart carries some nice fabric.
I would see if there was a pea who would go shopping for for you. If he is going to be in eastern wa. I will go.

There's a Joann's and a couple of fabric stores nearby, but he doesn't have time to shop for me (at least that's what he says!!) He goes back often and I just place my orders with Amazon, Target, etc and get everything sent directly to the hotel, so he can pick it up (much to his chagrin as he likes to travel with a tiny carry-on)! Thanks everyone, I'll check out those sites today:) I've already filled my shopping cart at the Fat Quarter Shop! Happy Birthday to me:)

beaglemom, I definitely think fabric.com's service has gotten much worse than it was years ago. So sad because it used to be my favorite place to shop.
