I have been wearing this belt since Friday evening. I wear it all the time except when Showering or in the hot tub. and I have to take it off to potty.
This means I have to sleep in it.
Night 1. I had to take it off 2 hours after going to bed. It hurt to lay in it. I know I wasn't used to it. The doctor did tell me that I would have to adjust to wearing it. After all it is tight and a little bulky.
Day 2. As soon as I woke up Saturday morning I put it on. Wore it all day. Only taking it off a few times to go potty and sit in the hot tub and shower.
I found that is was easier to walk in it then without it. I did how ever find that it is bot and makes my body hotter. I mean it is 3 inches from top to bottom of this thing. So it should be that bad. I go to bed and all is fine. I had to take a pain pill. Remember that this is 3 days after doctors appointment and I am still really really sore. Like I was months ago. Where I wanted to kick somebodies ass sore. I did end up leaving it on all night but found myself needing to flip from side to side more than normal. I still can not lay on my back.
Day 3. Sunday morning. I wake up still wearing belt. I find myself super sore. Most mornings I am really sore. but for some reason I am more sore than I think should be. But I keep the belt on. I do sit in hot tub for a while and I feel better. Husband had a carving class to go to so i stayed home and reclined on the couch most of the day. Seemed to help a lot. by Sunday night at hot tub time when I took off the belt I was not wanting to put it back on. I get out of the hot tub and as a good girl I put on the belt go to bed and lay there for 4 hours. flipping from side to side. not getting comfortable. I even adjusted the air in the bed. Thinking that it might help. But it did not. I finally fall asleep and then the alarm goes off not long after. The first thing I do is take off the belt. I needed a break from it. I thought. Heck I will make husbands lunch and then put it back on. Well, 5 minutes later I knew it was a mistake not having it on.
I hurt so bad I wanted to DIE! but by this time I didn't have the time to go put it on because I wouldn't have gotten husbands lunch made in time. So I put it on as soon as I am done with making his lunch. by that time I hurt so bad all I could do was sit on the couch. I sat there for hours. only getting up when I had to. well at least every hour since I have to get up and move because I start hurting from sitting. Last night husband calls as he is leaving the shop and asks if I have any plans for dinner. I say yep I am going to throw frozen food in the oven and that is what we are eating. HE knew right then that I was hurting because that is my go to food when I hurt too much to cook. I sat there the rest of the night. When I got in the hot tub last night I hurt so much it hurt to sit. The hot water (which is only 99 degrees) hurt too much. The jets hurt. I only sat there for 10 minutes and I got out. but then I put on the belt and After about 20 minutes I started to feel better. I did sleep more last night.
Day 4. I am actually dusting my living room today. It has taken me a few hours to clean off husbands end table and dust it, the coffee table and the tv and stand. but I am doing it. and I do hurt but I don't hurt as bad.
The thing I am afraid of is my body is getting dependent on the belt. I know I have to wear this thing for one month. But what happens then. AM I going to need the belt for ever? will my back only start feeling better when I am wearing it? I really don't want to live life wearing this belt.
