I have searched all my sources on the internet for new colours of cardstock either by American Crafts (Bazzill or whatever they call it now), and I didn't find anything so far or any other brand. I used to buy Worldwin and I bought National as well as Neenah. Does anyone else have sources for new cardstock colours? I am not looking to buy. I am looking to see what's new. New colours are fun and I may end up getting some at some point. I mean I love my cardstock!

Cardstock is not really like other collections, it is considered more of a staple item. And coloured cardstock is not really in vogue for scrapping at the moment, either. (Not like around 2005ish when there was a monthly kit club for coloured cardstock!) So it is not something where there will be a new release of colours, textures etc all that often. If you aren't finding anything it is likely it is because there isn't anything new to see. Sometimes Core'dinations comes out with new stuff, but they haven't posted anything on their blog that I can see since June, so it is a pretty safe bet they have nothing new either.

It would be awesome if they listed which colors work best with their lines. Old ones would be fabulous, but at least going forward when they announce a new line, indicate what cardstock they recommend.

I love colored cardstock, and I stocked up on Worldwin Double Mates 12 x 12 when they announced last year (through my then LSS that was going out of business roughly at the same time). Checked out the My Minds Eye My Colors, and although they are not the rich colors I loved in my Double Mates, I do like the fact that there are scrapbooking companies willing to put out new lines of colored cardstock. Yes, it is a staple, and yes I know the current trend is not to use colored cardstock as much as we did in the past, but I am stuck in 2005 scrap style so I still need it and I still LOVE it.
Thanks for the post Elannah, I am getting some good resources from your question from all the wonderful refueepeas which respond. This is why I love this board soooooo much.
Happy Scraping today!

I always use a cardstock base on my layouts, so it's my most frequently-used (& favorite) supply. Like you, I'm always on the lookout for new colors. Thanks everyone for the links... That could be scary. It would be awesome if they listed which colors work best with their lines. I like that ACOT suggests coordinating Bazzill cardstock colors under every product in a particular collection (e.g. OA Summertime) & have found it useful when ordering cardstock online.

Okay I have everything out and sorted by collection and I loved all but 1 of the cardstock recommendations. I purchased over about 20 so that's not bad. And it wasn't as if the color clashed, I just would have chosen a different grey.

That's a great idea, because sometimes the colours are so hard to work out. Not that I used much coloured cardstock, though.

I am out of the loop! If not cardstock, what are people using?

scrappingirl212 I think most people are using white cardstock as background these days. Or the solid color sheets that come with collections.

I think Doodlebug came out with some new cardstock this year? Maybe it's not new, and this was just the first time I'd heard about it. It's all in their signature colors. And I love the colors of the new MME cardstock, I've had it on my list for awhile (not that I need more cardstock...)

Hmm. I do like solids as background. Especially kraft or black. This is interesting.

I use cardstock as the base for everything. A lot of white, black and kraft, but lots of colors too. It just depends on the project.

I totally understand your reasoning. I went away from using cardstock because of trends but now I'm using it again as a frame for all my patterned paper. I will cut down my pattern paper by a 1/4 or 1/2 inch on two sides and then glue or sew to the cardstock. I will distress both or one of the papers. It really finishes off the layout with the cardstock frame.

I saw this post and thought Elannah had rejoined, I see she hasn't. I really hate what happened to her on the nsbr.
