I watched this season...when I remembered it was on, so missed about half of them. So wondering if this was addressed on the show, but where's Jacob?
Up until the actual wedding episode, Jacob was MIA and not even mentioned. There were glimpses of him at the wedding, but he really felt like an "extra". He did seem to be an angry little boy, my dd and I guessed he was sent off to military school. Ha
Anyone have the scoop?
Very sweet wedding. Tori seems like a wonderful lady. I just think back to all the previous seasons and think of their pigsty bedroom. Sure hope Zachary has learned to pick up after himself. Lol

yes, GED & moved out. Dropped out of high school at some point with no apparent parental concerns, also moved out with buddies without having a job.... my impression was always that he didn't want to be involved in the tv aspect, but yeah he seems notably absent a lot of the time

I hate to say this (because I generally like Matt and Amy), but I al ways felt like Jacob was kind of the "forgotten" child. Jeremy and Zach got a lot of attention, Molly was the only girl, but they never seemed to pay much attention to Jacob. Things seemed a little off this season so I tried to find out what was going on; he's been posting stuff on Twitter about smoking weed and all these anti police/education/religion rants. That episode where he left home was so bizarre, but I have a feeling this may have contributed to it. Maybe this is his way of trying to get attention?

That's too bad. Like I said, he always seemed a little bit angry, so that tendency coupled with his parents marital problems and all his siblings moving out-probably was not a good combination. He may be one of those kids who needs some extra time to work out his issues. Luckily he has a loving family to go to.

I feel bad for him, he seems sad. I'm sure he misses his brothers and sister.
On a side note, I teared up watching Zach and Tori's wedding last night. But then again, my oldest son got married 2.5 months ago so I still get emotional thinking about that.

I've been watching and I still love the show and the family. I always thought those kids had the most amazing place to grow up. That farm is fabulous and just a kid's dream. Plus Amy just threw herself in full force to being a great mom. Matt obviously loved them too. He worked very hard to create this dream environment. But unlike Amy, he still pursued his own interests more fully. And he allowed his pursuit for all he wanted to take away from his family time. Amy just loved the heck out of of those kids and dedicated decades almost solely to their lives and happiness.
As far as Jacob goes, I used to think that Jacob was actually maybe babied too much and allowed to act out too much. You know, its really hard to know why some kids get lost along the way. I try not to always blame the parents. I'm sure Amy feels terrible and wonders if she went wrong with Jacob. As others have said, I don't think he wants to be on the show, I have read that he's into weed, and also he is rebelling against the Christian beliefs he was raised with. He does seem a bit aimless right now. I remember him being closest to Molly so maybe she can help him. He's young and has time to figure it out.
It's amazing watching them grow and marry and still see how close they are. It's also funny thinking back to all those Little People Conventions they took Zach to (which I think was good) and saying his future bride is probably there since that's how Matt and Amy met. And here is Zach marrying a regular sized girl and all his best friends are regular sized. How in love they both seem--its beautiful! I also love seeing Jeremy realize he wants to take over the business. I think I see a future reality show concentrating on that.

It was either at the very end of last night's show or in a promo for next week's "wrap-up" show that Amy said something like Jacob was off finding his way.
On another note, I never realized how religious the family was until this season. Not that it bothered me but I was happy to see that they did have strong religious beliefs and never once shoved them down the viewers throats like...I wont go there...
Also I have worked in the wedding industry for many, many years, weddings are "business" you smile, shake hands, and hug, then go on to the next or home for the day. I never once cried at a wedding...I cried when Tory came out of the barn and all thru the ceremony! Guess this was a true love story!!!

I always got the impression from the show that Jacob was the forgotten child. The parents would comment about being empty nesters often when Jacob was in middle school. Hello? You still had a child at home. I think he was too young to be with the twins friends to hang around with and not a girl like Molly, so I'm sure he felt left off. I do think Molly and him have a special relationship though. She seems very sweet.

Loved the wedding! They make a super sweet couple and their love really shone through. I was in tears too! I did too! I think both boys (the twins) seem really sweet, but I really love Zach and Tori. They seem well suited for each other and I'm really happy for Zach as he used to struggle with self esteem issues. The wedding was gorgeous and Matt's speech made me cry--he did a great job!

I have always loved this show and I had the opportunity to meet Matt when he gave a presentation in my town some years ago. I always loved that little blonde girl from LA for Zach and thought they should do a spin off on her. I don't think Josh was overlooked, but the show is called 'Little People Big world" with emphasis on Little People, so it makes sense there was more emphasis on Zach.
As the owner of a messy house I never gave much thought to Amy's cleaning skills- but rather attributed it to 'Cleaning and scrubbing can wait til tomorrow cause children grow up we've learned to our sorrow...."
I really hope Matt and Amy put it back together. They are a good team. Maybe with Jeremy moving back they will have more of the family vibe that kept them from staring at each other and wondering WTF.
