Saturday night, SO and I walked a couple of blocks to go to a restaurant by us. Unfortunately, my shoes rubbed my heels so badly, they they were actively bleeding by the time I got the restaurant (gross, I know).
I went to Walgreen's the next day and bought some Bandaid brand gel blister heeling pads. There were 6 bandages and the whole box cost close to 8 bucks! Anyway, the stupid things peeled off in about an hour. I have then tried regular bandaids, and just taped the crap out of my heels, and those peel right off too.
Is there anything in the universe that can cover the blisters so I can wear something besides flip flops to work without them peeling?

I've used bandaids with a little first-aid tape over them to help them stay better. So sorry, that's a painful thing!

Would they stay on better if you wore different shoes? I love those blister band aids and as long as I switched shoes they stayed on fine. Maybe something with an open back? You could try the second skin stuff for burns, the kind that makes your skin shiny and are waterproof. You might need to cut them because they are about 3 inches by 3 inches. I imagine if you wore shoes that had an open back for a day or two you could just wear the blister ones though.

How about moleskin and bandage tape? I like moleskin on blisters better than any of the new products anyway. I like the cushion of it.

You can wear nude shoe socks. I have seen ones that just cover you toes and ones that cover you heals.

I use the Band-Aid Sport bandages. They are a little thicker and cushioned and stay on through ANYTHING.

Your heel injuries may be leaking lymph, making them continually wet. You might put the medicated bandages on and then wrap the heels in gauze to hold everything in place.

I agree about using Compeed blister bandaids. They're the best brand IMO.

I use the 3M bandaids..the waterproof ones stick like crazy. I quit buying the Band-Aid brand after noticing they were made in China. For your shoes I recommend Pedag heel strips, they work and feel oh so comfortable.

Another vote for moleskin. It's saved my feet at WDW a few times.

Compeed plasters are good. No idea if they are available in the U.S.

I was thinking moleskin that you can cut to size, too.

I have used a panty liner, applied to the inside of the heel of the shoe, to help in such situations.
Panty liner to shoe, then bandaid on foot.............

Thanks everyone! I'll be going to the store later to pick up some of these. You'd think I'd be an expert on getting things to stick since I wear 2 medical devices that I wear for either days or weeks at a time. But, the heel is a "high-traffic area" so it's much more challenging

Compeed plasters are good. No idea if they are available in the U.S. They are finally available through Amazon. Thank goodness because I was tired of asking friends/family to schlep them back from Europe and the UK for me! I discovered them while living in Paris and they really are the best on the market. I'm definitely placing an order for future use. Even Amazon Prime is not quick enough this time

Target has a little section right by the shoes that have these little gel pads you can put in your shoe..it sticks to the shoe in the spot it rubs.

I use these: Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages, Advanced Healing Blister Cushions in the blue/turquoise box. I get the occasional 1-off that comes off shortly after application (do make sure your skin is totally dry), but usually they stay on for days - even through showers!! (I forget it's there a lot....)
I googled this for you, and I see there is another box design with more muted colors (lots of grey on the Amazon pic) - I haven't tried this box.

You could also try the NextCare brand of bandages. I discovered these about 15 years ago when DD had a burn over her little knuckles. It was a hard place for a 2 year old to keep bandages on, between the movement and the sweatyness of little hands. It's now the only brand of bandaids that I buy. There is a cushioning sport version, and I like the clear ones for most owies.
I would worry about moleskin sticking to the wound and tearing off new skin growth. Although you could put a spot of cream or powder over that one area.
