Eeek!!! I finally decided to just go for it, the Silhouette Cameo is on it's way to me!!! Plus I sprung for a Canon Pixma for my craft room. I'm soooo excited! Hurry up UPS!  the only bad thing is that it will be delivered tomorrow and we are camping until Sunday.  |

Yay! You will love it! Download the software now so you can start buying the shapes plus get the free shape of the week.
Every Tuesday when the new shapes and free shape come up in the store, I check them out. Plus the clearance items for the week.
I have used my cameo 10 times as much since Christmas as I used my Cricut E in the last two years.

I bought mine almost exactly a year ago, and I love it!! It's so much fun to create titles and fun cut shapes - look for sales on the subscriptions and then you can stock up on all kinds of cool shapes throughout the year for cheaper!

You will love this machine! Just be patient, because there is a bit of a learning curve. I found Kerri Bradford's classes helpful . Also Debbie H on You Tube has VERY helpful videos

I have to admit that I bought one a few months ago and it is still in the box!! It seems I received it the same week they released the new version of their software. I had downloaded the earlier version and then everyone was having problems with the new, so I didn't know what to do. On the Silhouette Plus forum someone suggested I stick with the Version 2 (vs. the Version 3) and use the designer edition upgrade until I am comfortable and all the 'kinks' are worked out. Just haven't done that yet. Maybe I'll get brave this week.  |

I would go straight to using V3. They have fixed the bugs and it is working great. They have moved a few things around - so no sense in learning how to use it in V2, and then getting confused with V3.
The Designer Edition is the same - just unlocks a few more tools.
Go for V3.0.531!

I have NEVER regretted getting the Cameo. I do not do complicated scrapping, but it is now one of the most used scrap tools I've purchased. It came in handy recently when one of my dds forgot to buy a birthday card to put on a gift for a child's party. I ran downstairs and cut out To and From and child's name and grandson's name. We adhered them to the top of the package. It looked good. So I'm sure you will find many ways to use your cameo and even if it's just for scrapping, I am sure you will really like your new scrap tool. Enjoy!
