My great-niece's dance team is performing in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and some of my family are coming in for the week. We'd like to all meet in the city for a Turkey Day meal. I've done some preliminary research on Gothamist and Time-Out NY but they seemed to focus on high-priced places with lots of buzz. We're looking for a decent meal but not $400 a plate. Anyone ever eat out on Turkey Day and have a good experience?

Have you checked Yelp for recommendations? There should be tons of options for Thanksgiving under $400 per person My son lives in NYC, I just texted him for some suggestions and will post when he responds.

I would ask on Trip Advsor too. Lots of great advice in true NYC forum.

I tend not to give as much credence to Yelp reviews but using Trip Advisor is a good idea.

I've never gone out for Thanksgiving dinner here, but I have a friend who always goes to the View on top of the Marriott Marquis at Times Square. It's $98 per person. There's another (less picturesque) restaurant in that hotel where T-day dinner is $58.
Congrats to your niece!

Can I just say that as tourist trappy as one might think the Marriott Marquis restaurant would be.... the food is quite good. We went to the Mother's Day brunch there once and it was fantastic. And the view can't be beat.
