I had one that I had used but am not overly thrilled with it. I have started some shopping and was thinking about gift tracking. Any suggestions?

I suggest Admin block you for already thinking about organizing your Christmas shopping...and actually already having some of it done. It's not natural, you must be an imposter.

I just start a page in my notebook! No one peeks or snoops, so I feel like it is pretty safe. I had no idea there were gift-tracking apps. What have you been using?

I've been using mGifts. My favorite is the archive feature so I can look back to see what I've gotten for people in previous years.

Not an app, but I use a spreadsheet on Google drive. I think they do have an app you can access Google Drive from. Every year I just copy last year's tab and start again. Lets me keep track of whatever custom fields I want (cost, shipping cost, ordered/arrived, link, etc). This will be my 5th year using it and I'm happy with it.

I love The Christmas List, it's a free app and I have used it for the last 2 or 3 Christmases. You can set groups of people, so I will do one for my side of the family, one for DH's side, one for jut us and our kids, and one for miscellaneous (teachers, neighbors, friends, etc.). You can set a budget for each person and track your spending pretty easily.

I never even considered that there might be an app for that. How wrong is it that I am excited? I have been using Evernote, so I can add links and photos for items I am considering and showing them to my husband on AppleTV.

I use The Christmas List too and I use it for birthdays as well. It's a nice, easy to use app. Works for me!

Well then I suppose I should be blocked as well. There are 4 people I need to buy for and ALL of them have birthdays close to Christmas. 2 of them are in mid October, 1 at the end of November and 1 is the 1st day in January.
I buy stuff year round as it allows me to get some great presents at good prices/deals.
When Target left Canada, I was able to buy a few gifts for my one dgc that will be needed at a bit older age and is a toy that rarely if ever goes on sale.
BTW: I am a paper and pen gal, using the same notebook for over 15 years. Works for me.

I use Better Christmas App. It keeps me pretty organized throughout the holidays.

I'm a paper and pen gal, make notes in my planner.
I already have a bin in my bedroom with purchased Christmas presents. I tried hiding them around the house and am convinced I'll find forgotten presents someday. DH won't snoop and DS wouldn't think too. As thinks come in the mail, right in to the bin.

I just use an excel spreadsheet. As no one else in my family would think to look there. In fact I cracked it open a couple of weeks ago as I have a small Christmas stash in my laundry room. Both DH's parents have December birthdays and my mom is in Late October. I start shopping about this time every year, and have been known to purchase stuff the day after Christmas for the following year. I had no idea there was an app!

I have used a couple of different apps and there was something I didn't like about both.
I used and Excel sheet before but it didn't feel private enough.
I like the google drive idea ... PW protected. I have it with me everywhere and I can make my own categories and sheets (Family, co-workers, Christmas cards, addresses, etc ...)

I think it was some thing like My Christmas List that I had used, I really don't remember. I used to use an Excel spreadsheet but I wanted something that I could have with me at the office or while I was out shopping.
i am on of those freaks who shops year round. My goal is to be done, or at least almost done, shopping by Thankgiving. (That way instead of rushing around and worrying about money that month I can do more baking, watch tv specials, etc.) I can't usually be fully done because I haven't got my in laws trained like my own relatives lol. As it is now my aunt and uncle are so on board with the "starting early" thing that they usually sent out a reminder to start working on lists before I do.
I get crap about starting Christmas as early as I do but I kind of consider Christmas to be a month-long holiday that starts when Santa arrives at the end of the Thanksgiving Day Parade.

I have a few gifts for both of my boys, and have ideas for my dh, and our parents. We only have to get for my sister, brother and nephew, and we each choose two people to buy for from Grandmas house. I've started on my sister already as well ( a Pandora charm came in yesterday that I forgot about).
