Lyric is 9 months. Since late last night she's thrown up 4 times. She ate earlier today. We did start mid week switching her food..just a little each day..seemed fine with it first few days. Could that be it? Or maybe ate something outside? Since losing our other dog in march we are leary if she doesn't seem "well ". She's been almost as playful all day...was real hyper when family came by earlier. Laying on the couch now...but otherwise seems ok?

Most people use boiled chicken and rice. Our vet always recommends cottage cheese and rice. Our dog goes through a puking phase once a year or so.
Eta : I would at least give the vet a call. With our dog they usually suspect a mystery infection from a tick bite and prescribe antibiotics.

Definitely call the vet, but you can try chicken or ginger cookies.

We always start with a bland diet of steamed rice and cottage cheese. Make sure she's hydrated. Dogs can dehydrate very quickly and (not to scare you) it can become critical. Pinch the skin on the back of her neck if it takes a few seconds to go down (if that makes sense) she's dehydrated.

Boiled chicken. Rice, pumpkin purée (pure pumpkin, not our filling with spices added)

Our vet tells us to take away the food for a while. Then start back with scrambled eggs or cottage cheese.

Hi, just wanted to comment as we've been at the vet's for 3hrs this afternoon with our sick 9 week old puppy. The suggestions above were recommended by our vet (plain chicken/rice, cottage cheese) but also pedialyte to drink. If she is still lethargic try a swipe of honey on her gums. Good luck!

Brown rice and turkey.
But I would just give water for a day, and then reintroduce food.
Skip the eggs, they are too rich for a dog with stomach issues. Been there, cleaned up that vomit and it is not good.

I always do canned pumpkin (not pie filling) and I keep canned Hill I.D. or ProPlan EN on hand. All four of my dogs get tablespoons of both as preventative each day. One gets Forta Flora probiotic each day too. When his tummy acts up, I take away dry food and only feed the prescription canned with pumpkin and probiotic. Rough Collies have sensative stomachs so this is our routine to keep things happy. When he does really get upset it's usually from eating something in the yard.

olive oil helps too, or low sodium chicken broth and the rice.
