This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges and is a fun place to come chat with other Pokey scrappers. 1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. These can be posted in the thread or in the gallery. If you post in the gallery, be sure to come to the thread and tell us you posted and tell us the name of the layout so we can find it. You can copy the URL from the gallery and paste it directly into your thread for a link. 2. This challenge can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items. 3. Please comment on the work of others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts. 4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or more than four. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new members . There are no prizes for this challenge, just a chance to enjoy the works of other Pokey Peas Refugees. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Thanks Nylene! Hopefully this will be the only day I am in a fib like last time. If it contimues to go this way and I am having too many of these days I will call to go on the next step-drugs to keep me in rhythm. We will try our best to get it to 3! Here is the link to my page so you do not have to go back A Letter to AleahBBL

I think I'll join you ladies this month! I've been feeling a little under the weather the past week and haven't had much urge to scrap. I've had ideas but once I have the time to sit down, I have no energy! But hopefully I can push through this and get some projects done.

Happy September! I hope you all are having a nice day. I haven't got to craft yet but hope to do something before the day is over. On Thursday, they are going to replace ALL of our windows which will be great when they are done but we have to move everything we have away from the windows. OMG! We have two bookcases in the bedroom so just that lone will be some work.I hate having all this disruption. They said it is supposed to be just the morning and I hope that is the case. Fingers crossed! Cindy- Your lo is so pretty and what a treasure it is for your niece. Hope your arm is feeling better today. Nylene- That's for the new thread! You really keep us together. Your family reunion is going to be so fun. I didn't even think about all the activities you are planning like that ice slide. Oh what fun you all will have. Since I am an honorary family member, I will be there in spirit. LOL! Abr79- WELCOME! Feel free to join us and play alone.

Kelly, you are very welcome at the Reunion physically or virtually, but you need to know that I just got a call from my SIL who said the weather forecast is for 67 degrees. Doesn't sound like we will be doing much ice blocking! We are all praying that it gets warmer. Cindy I hope you are feeling better today and are not still in a-fib. Take it easy. We will miss you! Oh and my a fib went back into rhythm Monday evening. Saw the Dentist today for my regular checkup and then have been dealing with computer issues all day. So tonight I am brain dead!

Hey ladies and happy Saturday! Today, I am nursing another cold I caught Thursday. I am glad I feel better today but still not fun. Also, on Thursday, we had to be out of our place while they replaced the windows. So I went with Ron to his job and in the afternoon he took me over to my former college. I had a good time hanging out most of the afternoon. 30 yrs ago, I started as a freshman. I couldn't believe it has been that long but it has. Geez! LOL! SO it was fun and even a little emotional remembering some many great memories. I took a few pictures so I will have fun scrapping them.
I must tell you all about the visitor we had in our car. On the way to college we had the car windows down and enjoying the breeze. The all of a sudden I felt something hit my head. Then I heard BUZZING! I totally freaked and told Ron to pull over so I could jump out the car on his side. Then when we walked over to my side of the car, there was a big bumble bee looking thing I call juju bees. OMG! So it sat there and my dh got him out. Is this crazy or what? I can laugh now but there I was upset. I have seen these bugs must of my life but I don't know if they sting and didn't want to find out. Yikes!
Cindy- Yes, football is here. Our tv is all football so far. We got USC tonight so I know Ron will be especially excited. I hope you enjoy your teams too. THis really is a fun sports time of the year.
Nylene- Thanks for the invitation! LOL! I hope the weather will be a little warmer cause I want to see pictures of the ice event! LOL! I am wishing you all a great time and can't wait to hear all about it. Oh, your lo is so fab! I love all the strips of pp. They look like bricks which is so perfect for your picture. You both have built a beautiful life together and it is beautiful to see.

kellyr21, I got the heebie-jeebies just reading about your "bug" in the car. We used to have huge June Bugs when I was growing up and it made me afraid to go outside after one got stuck in my hair. (Shudder) I'm glad you are OK and that you weren't the one driving! scrapincin, I'm glad you are feeling better. Hope you have a long stretch now with normal rhythm. Has your elbow completely healed? @coilstrand, I think the idea for my layout came from a card I pinned from your pinterest board! We had a wonderful time at the Reunion, but the weather was 59 degrees. When the wind stopped and the sun came out it was nice. Everyone wore jackets and the kids still swam, canoed, etc, in the river. We had a huge long tarp for sliding and the kids rode down on tubes, air mattresses and their bellies. What a funny site to see our grown kids sliding down that hill. It was just too cold to ice block, but we hope to do it next year. The rockets were a hit and the food turned out great. We hated to come back, but I'm glad my turn to organize it is over for 5 years. I finished up a layout the night before we left, but didn't get it scanned and posted. For Sept. 2nd week's layout, this is Em and her family. It's also for the September Stash Challenge hosted here by Chinagirl828. Together by Nylene Budge, on Flickr

Good Tuesday evening! Boy these Monday holidays sure do play with my brain. I do not know what day it is at all! I think it is Monday, no Wednesday and we all know I am a short putt for being totally lost forever and ever! LOL
Nylene-so good to hear you had a safe trip and we got you back safely too. Sounds like the reunion was a success-I figured with you in charge this year that it would be! Love your layout of Em's family-those redheads are just son cute! I love red hair! As for my elbow it is pretty much better but still has a sore spot.
Kelly-how about that Ohio State last night!!!! All 3 of my teams won over the weekend! Now we shall see what goes with the Browns this coming Sunday. Our offensive line coach got suspended for a domestic Violence over the weekend.
Well I want to get in my room and work on a layout or card-I want to do a couple of the challenges too.

Happy Thursday! Hope you all had a nice Labor Day. I has been VERY HOT out here so I am staying cool and taking it easy. I feel like it these are our snow days and I got some cabin fever yesterday. LOL! I enjoyed going out last night and it was nice and cool in the car. But when we got back home, I thought I was walking in a humid hot oven! Apparently there is a tropical storm in Mexico area and it is creating all this moisture on top of the heat. So I hope things cool off this weekend. There is a music and food festival here in town on Saturday and I hope to go. I did get some scrapping started today and that felt good. Also, I am looking forward to getting back to my sewing after it cools off more. I got to finish my pillow cover and start my window treatments. Yeah! Nylene- Oh boy did you all have a fantastic time! It sounded like all the hard work you did paid off. The sliding hill event must of been so fun. I know they laughed and giggled all the way down the tarp. How fun! I wish we could of sent some of this heat your way to warm things up since it was cold where you were. So now that you are back hope you have rested and recovered from all the fun. Your layout is so beautiful. I am going to leave you some praise after this. Just beautiful! Cindy- Ohio State looked great! We saw some of the game and that Cardale Jones. He is a big dude and hope we does well. But I heard the other QB is very good too. So it looks like they should have a good season. NFL starts tonight and we will be watching. Have you been making any more cards? I have been thinking about Christmas cards. I saw some pp from Simple Stories or was it Echo Park that looks pretty. LOL! I looked a several new collections and I can't remember which line was where. LOL!

Hey there! To answer your question Kelly i have played around with a few ideas for Christmas cards but I think they are beautiful they also would take me forever due to all the work. Yes Ohio State played well and the other quarterback is very good also. You may see him play this week. I was amazed at how Braxton Miller took over as such a great Wide receiver. He really was good at that position. Echo Parks Christmas lines are very pretty and I like Carta Bella too.
Nylene-missing you! I know you are busy working at the school!
Well it is late here-will be back tomorrow!!!

Well, ladies...i have not done ANY scrapping this month. I've been not feeling the best the past month but last week it escalated and come Saturday, I took myself to urgent care with a super high fever and not able to breathe. Turns out I have bacterial bronchitis and spent the entire Labor Day weekend feeling like I was going to die. I'm JUST now able to function without too much trouble. But, I haven't had the energy to play with paper. I'm hoping to get back to my regular scrap schedule soon.

abr79, I am so sorry you are ill. That sounds like some wicked bugs you picked up. Do they have you on some heavy duty antibiotics? Hope you are getting some relief. Take it easy. I wish I could send you some of the homemade soup I made yesterday. Hope you are back on track soon and able to get scrappy. Kelly, are you feeling better? I hope you don't pass this on to Ron. Sounds like the sewing is coming along. Cindy, glad you elbow is doing better. I am excited to see what your ideas for Christmas are. I'm still playing around with ideas. We are going to a Golf Course Conf. again in October and there's nothing for me to do except stay in the hotel room. I hope to have my ideas all finalized and the paper cut and ready so I can make cards for 2 days. Did I tell you I am back at school again? I have 5 students and they are really cute. One little first grader is so wiggly that I can't keep him on his chair! I hope we can get that solved. The problem is that our chairs are WAY too tall for some of these tiny ones. Their feet don't come close to the floor. No wonder they are wiggly. But we work with what we have. We had a wonderful, patriotic program out on the lawn this morning. Of course none of the Elem. children were alive on 9-11-2001, but the Vice Principal did such a great job of explaining why this is a special day to the U.S. Well, I'm planning to get some scrapping done today. Have a nice weekend, everyone!

Happy Friday! Hope you all are having a nice evening so far. Planning to get some scrapping going this evening. Not much else happening but hope the weekend peaks up. Still pretty hot but it is suppose to cool off soon. Yippee! Abr79-I have lost my mojo at times too but it always come back so hang in there. Nylene- Yes, my cold is pretty much gone and Ron is feeling better too. I've got sewing to do so wishing all these cold bugs away! LOL! Your teaching job sounds like it is giving you lots of joy and fulfillment. That is so great! Enjoy! Cindy- Can you believe after all this "deflate gate" with the Pats that the headphone weren't working last night? So now there is gonna be so much talk about this. LOL! But apparently, both team's headphones were having trouble so maybe this will die down soon. Enjoy your football this weekend.

Good evening ladies!!! I hope that you are all doing well. Nylene - I love your anniversary LO! You and Steve both look great, you're so slim! It's a beautiful LO. Congrats on your 48th. Life here is cruising along. Olivia has been back at college for a month, she just started her senior year. I was a little sad when we dropped her off this year, it's been the only time that I wasn't sure that she'd be moving back home when the year is over. Mal has started her last year of high school and Grif is a blissful middle schooler. I've been rejoicing this week because football season started...although I'm with Kelly and am over hearing about deflategate and all of that. I'm headed to a scrappy retreat next weekend. I go to the ones put on my MVP Scrappers a couple of times a year. I need to print about a zillion photos, so I'm hoping to work on editing some of them tomorrow before I send them to Mpix. I just got an order in the mail from ACOT, so I have new scrap goodies to play with, which will be fun. Hi Kelly, Cindy, abr79 and mikklyn!!! I hope that you all have a nice weekend! Tina

Tina, it's so good to "see" you. Your children are really growing up. What is Olivia's major, I don't remember. It seems like once they leave home, things are never quite the same. I had those same sad feelings when I could see that the kids wouldn't be coming back home to live. I am just so blessed to have 3 of the 4 here in Utah and the other one visits often and we go to CA to see them about once a year. I hope you will post some of your layouts that you do at your retreat. I'd love to see the growth in your family. Oh, and thanks for the compliment about being trim, but I have put 10 back on and am working on it. I'm still down a lot from when we met at Scrapfest which feels good. Kelly, I'm glad you are feeling better and that Ron is better. I was so cold in Idaho over the weekend, but the temp is going up to the 90's this weekend and the rest of week will be cold and rainy. The weather changes so quickly here right against the mountains. I'm anxious to see your newest scrappy projects. Are you doing any more drawing and painting? Cindy, I'm glad you've got Kelly and Tina here to chat about ball games with you. I finished a layout for the September Sketch Challenge here. It's pretty simple and I'm thinking now it needs a small dark frame around it. Family by Nylene Budge, on Flickr

Hi everyone! This will be quick as my football game will be starting soon. Just had to tell you Becky is in Boston for the weekend with a friend who paid for the entire trip except for Becky's meals! What a deal right! She is enjoying herself as she is a big history buff. But her sweet little Bobby missed her before she was gone. He made arrangements with Papa to make sure they could stay at their house yesterday till his mom left so he could see her before she left! Can you believe a 9 year old doing that? Hope to be in my scrap room this evening. I was in there a while ago but was not scrapping-I was just straightening a few things up. Ok will be back later!
Great seeing you Tina!

Cindy, what a sweet boy your Bobby is. I hope he will be OK while Becky is gone. You can tell they have a close family! What a wonderful trip for her. I've always wanted to go to Boston. Doubt if it will ever happen, but I can wish. How are your teams doing after the weekend? Have a great week, all you sweet Pokeys! I hope you all get some scrapping time.

Happy Monday! Hope you all are well and having a nice day so far. Mine is moving slow but I plan to scrap later. We went to M's yesterday and I got some of their pp on sale. 7 sheets for a dollar! Pretty good! So I look forward to having fun with some of these pps. On Saturday night we went to the Music and Food Festival here in town. It was up the street on the street. There were lots of food trucks, music and people. We didn't stay too long but it was nice to see all these families around enjoying themselves. It was a little too crowded for me but glad we went.
Nylene- OMG, your layouts are getting prettier and prettier! I just love the grey woodgrain pp you used on the last one with that picture. Fantastic! You asked about my drawing and painting- Yes, I will be doing more of both soon. I just got so many projects and not enough time! LOL! So this week I hope to do a little sewing and a little painting/drawing.
Cindy- How did your teams do? I does feel good to have football back. Your little guy is a smart cookie and I know he will miss his mom. But I hope she has a fun trip.
Tina- So good to see ya! Have fun at your scrappin trip.

Kelly, I love, love, love the layout you posted. Those wrinkled banners are wonderful. I'm glad you got rain today. We got lots....maybe too much. I had to stand at the window worrying that the gutters wouldn't hold it and it would go over the hump in our driveway and straight to the basement. So far, so good. It has POURED several times, but stops when it gets to the top of the driveway, and the gutter goes down and it starts pouring again. I hope your rain puts out all those fires burning in CA.

Awesome page Kelly! Love it and left you some love on your flikr page. My 3 college teams won and then the Browns-I did not know what you called that game-it was poorly played and coached! May stop watching them as this is getting very old.
Nylene -I have been crafting but I am working on one of my Christmas cards-cut out pieces this afternoon for the first 8 cards. Were you part of that flooding by Hildale? I hope not. Boy the weather has been wicked the past 2 years. Becky 's trip was very short-left Friday and came beack Sunday afernoon.
well I am going to go sit down and put these cards together.

Thanks for all the praise! I just love the banners too. Plus it was nice using up some of my old supplies. Can you believe I am posting another lo in the same day? LOL! Here is another one I did last night. Also, stop by my blog for more pictures. Good TimesNylene- Oh boy! That down pour you got sounds tough. Hope it doesn't flood there. Cindy- Congrats on your teams wins. Not sure either what the Browns are gonna do but we will see. Also, nice to hear you are working on Christmas cards. I want to order some holiday pp so I can make some too.
