It's football day for me here! I am in the middle of the x=second game now. I have worked on Christmas cards adding little details! Then started on a second design. It is early but at the slow speed I am going I will still be doing these on Dec. 26! IO need to be scrapping school pictures and all too. I guess I will get there.
Kelly I love your layout-you did a great job with it!
Nylene how is school going? Are you and Steve doing ok?
My allergies are driving me nuts. All I do is cough. Well not much to talk about so woll close for now.

Cindy, I somehow missed your last post. Don't know how I did that. Hildale is at the bottom of the state, and we are central Utah, so nowhere near us. Makes me sad for those families and those that were killed at Zions National Park. Because we are a desert state, when we get a hard rain it can be very dangerous. We have a lot of "slot" canyons in the parks and they are deadly if it rains. Luckily the rain here would stop just as the gutters filled up, and when drains caught up with the water, it would start again. So no wet basement this time. Hope you are enjoying your football day. I'm excited to see what your Christmas card designs are. I'm going to do mine while I sit in the hotel in Wendover in October. Kelly, I hope you are footballing and artwork-ing today. I have finished a few more pages. I hate to flood the gallery, but will post a couple. I've forgotten how to post a link, but can post a thumbnail of them. Happy Saturday! I see you ladies are scrapping and having a nice time. I ordered some Christmas pp the other day so I will look forwarding to seeing it. It is MME Joyful collection. So excited to get my order. Not sure what kinds of cards I will make but got some time to play around with it. I have been painting and did some scrapping over the last few days and that is always fun. You girls have really been scrapping and it looks great. Going to the gallery to check it all out. Woo Hoo!  Cindy- I thought of you earlier when we were watching some of the OHIO game. Glad to find out they won. Also, we are watching USC now and they are struggling. I hope they pull it out for Ron's sake. LOL! Hope your allergies settle down. That sounds like a bummer for you and Nylene. Nylene- You are having allergies too?! Poor girls! I am sending you both some tea. |

Cindy, I love your layout. I can't tell if it's paper or digi. Your coleus are so tall and beautiful. I have a hard time keeping plants alive. Beautiful layout. I am loving all the wood grain paper that is now available. Good luck to your teams and I'm sending you virtual tissues for the allergies. Achoo! Kelly, that MME Joyful collection is beautiful. I'm sure you'll come up with some beautiful cards. I'm anxious to see what you decide. I've been doing a lot of scrapping lately, trying to use up all the piles and piles of paper I've hoarded. It has been fun using up some of my 6x6 pads too. Good luck to your teams this week. I hope the weather cools a bit for you. Sounds like a heat wave in that area! Better run. See you later. Oh Nylene I was laughing and so entertained by your journaling. You had an outhouse with no door and Bob's has a screen door with the glass pane it in facing the road! I used to have my bathroom done in Out house! I had blue and white ticking like wallpaper with outhouse borders all the way around. Then we were at the mall one night and there was a guy there with a 3-D picture made of an outhouse and he out our name on the door! I also have a ceramic jar on the floor that holds an extra roll of toilet paper! Enough sharing!
As for my plants I kill every house plant I try to grow-including herbs. I don't get it but I am not buying anymore . Outside plants only! Ok going to close I have to be up early I will be getting Bobby about 7:30. Talk to everyone later.

Hey ladies! Having a nice day so far. I hope to get on my craft table after lunch and have fun. Nylene, our Cali weather doesn't know it is Fall so another heat wave is coming.  Plus, they are coming to finish our windows and some painting so I am not crazy about that. Hope the smell this time is light. Fingers crossed! Nylene- I just love reading your stories and so glad you are sharing them with us. So good and funny too. I know it makes you feel so good to reflect on some of these moments of your life. I am sure you can laugh now about it all. Yeah, that MME pp is so pretty and I am looking forward to some Christmas creations. Just want to get some new ideas so they will be "funner" to make. LOL! Hope everyone is having a great start to their weekend! I have 3 nut trees in y back yard-2-shagbark hickory and 1 huge oak and they all bore nuts this year. I therefore have about 7 squirrels and 7 or more chippies in my backyard munching. Well the nuts are about gone now so I was raking up chewed up nut shells for 2 hours this morning. Three yard bags and one yard waste container of chewed up nut shells! Now I am trying my best to deter them so they move somewhere else as that is way too many for our small city lot. We got water sprinkler which is hopefully going to do the job as they do not like water. It has a motion detector and squirts them when they start across the yard. It sure has soaked me several times today. I wanted to scrap tonight but I am so tired I am going to go to bed soon. Maybe tomorrow. I have ball games to watch tomorrow also which is good as I will be sore from all that raking.
Kelly looking forward to whatever you do at that craft table of yours!
Nylene-how is it going with the job at school. I know you are helping the kids with reading. They are so lucky to have you!
OK I am brain dead be back tomorrow hopefully wityh something to post!

Good evening. Just a quick note to say hi and that I have come up with three cards I am making for Christmas. I will make about 10 of each one and maybe a few more-I have to check how many I need. Hope you gals are all getting some scrappy stuff done. We celebrated Bobby;s birthday today We got him a soccer ball and a pop up goal so he has some incentive. It will get him moving outdoors instead of playing video games all the time. He took it outside right after he was done opening gifts. I refused to buy him another video game! Ok going to get off of here! Be back tomorrow!

Hey ladies! Today they are FINALLY finishing up our windows. I won't even begin to tell you the pure frustration my dh and I have had about it but today it should be all done. (I hope) So I haven't done any crafting but hope later this week to continue with some fun things I started.
Cindy- Hey girl you are on a roll. Christmas cards already designed and ready for production!!!! How awesome! I got my pp and now need to think about some designs or a designs. I know some inspiration will come before long. My local college teams did will but my poor 49rds... not sure what is happening. I saw your Browns struggling too. But Ohio did win, right? Hope this is a better for our NFL teams.
Nylene- I know you must be busy having fun with your young students. Waving hello to ya!

Cindy, since I have been pinning all the same Christmas cards that you have, we might end up making something similar. We have similar tastes! I had to laugh about your Outhouse bathroom. I would have loved it. We have laughed about that horrible outhouse so often. Did you take photos of your decorated bathroom? I'd love to see! Happy Birthday to Bobby. I totally understand about the video games. During Cousin Camp the moms brought some "screen games" but hid them from the kids until I wanted a few moments to myself and I could bring them out. Otherwise we would have had 7 kids sitting on couches with their faces in screens!! Are your allergies better? Mine are some better, but still sniffling.
Kelly, I am so sorry about the window installation. We changed out our old windows in 2002 and things were a mess for a long time. Part of the problem was that DS was doing it after his work hours on a construction job. I know what a mess it can make. Luckily we were ready to repaint about that time, because they scratched up the walls around the windows. I'm sure getting back to your crafting will help relieve your frustrations! Hang in there.
I can't believe we only have 2 days left this month! September just zoomed by. I am loving my teaching. I have just first and second graders this year. Only one is not Hispanic and one little guy has such a heavy Spanish accent that I have to really listen because his words are hard to understand. My last student is the most upbeat, happy girl. She just beams when I go to her class to get her and skips all the way to our room. It's wonderful to end each day on someone who is so grateful to have the help. They are all cute children. I'm so glad I started this last year. I really miss my Cubs, but this helps make up for those little guys.
I will plan to post the new month thread on Wed. nite or Thurs. am. Have a great week you sweet, scrappy friends.

My scanner/printer is on the fritz so I need to take the time to figure out what it needs and then I can finish journaling and scan them. Come join in October!
