Hey, TMers! I'm hoping we get some great goodies this month. The last 2-3 weeks I haven't bought a single thing! I've noticed my store is starting to get Christmas, Fall and Halloween items, so maybe that's why. Share here what you find so we can see what the stores are getting and share in your excitement! Photos are always fun so we can see what you got, too Also, I hear a lot about how people don't find good stuff in their store. My biggest tip is to go often. If you can figure out (or ask) when they typically put out their craft stuff for the week, go that day (it varies by store and when that store gets their truck delivery). I often leave without purchasing anything and that's ok with me. It makes up for the weeks when I hit the jackpot Have fun shopping!

I stopped today and they had absolutely nothing new. Feels kinda barren right now, I'm hoping that changes soon.

I'm going to tell my DH that you said I should go to TM often! I *know* it is dangerous to go often. I have 3 different TM's I could go to, but fortunately the one closest to me is the one with the least best stuff. I think it's a sign, because that one is dangerous enough!

It's Tuesday and I can't believe I forgot to go today! This is the day the good store near me puts out everything new, and the eBayers snatch up all the good stuff. Thanks for keeping us slackers on track, alissa103.

wagleg I know! My store feels the same way. I could tell they got nothing new last week. I seriously walked in, did a super quick scan, and walked out. Hey now, FurryP, don't go throwing me under the bus! I get enough teasing from my own DH! LOL! No problem oaksong! I hope you find some stuff.

I went last Friday (sorry it was still August). I hadn't been in a few weeks and it was the same stuff. Lots of paper packs (6x6 and 12x12), project kits, thickers, stickers, albums, etc. But nothing I needed or wanted. So I left empty handed. DH and I did go to a different Marshalls over the weekend and I got a pack of veneer arrows and hearts for $1.99.

I got oodles of Doodlebug stuff: abc, 123, etc. doodledot alphas. I passed on the Doodlebug brads but their color selection on those was amazing. I also got some packs of Bazzill cardstock in bright color packs (25 sheets). I got a few packs of Studio Calico DIY chalkboard tags (I really don't like SC's business practices so I don't sub there but I figure if I'm buying SC at a TM store, I'm really actually giving American Crafts the business instead of SC).
I picked up several misc sizes of sheet protectors because I like to use the smaller ones in-between LOs if I have a lot of photos of a single event. The 5 x 7 are the perfect postcard size and the 4-up are good for landscape pix.
When I didn't see any merch on TM's shelf, I asked the clerk if there was scrapbook stuff to be put out. She wheeled the cart out and let me pick thru all the goodies ((sigh)). So much fun for only a few dollars!

I was going to get the Doodlebug brads but the the clear glittery epoxy part looked old and yellowed on them all

I went to two TMs last Saturday (also still August, sorry) and got some WRMK washi tapes (2 rolls for 1.49) and a roll of 50 yards of bakers twine for 99 cents. Other than that, there wasn't much new...
I also saw the G45 die-cut tags / envelopes that someone else mentioned previously; they were priced at $5.99 for what would have been only one 12x12 sheet of paper, so they were totally priced incorrectly.

This is bugging me so much! Maybe I'll bring in a pack of zip ties and bundle them correctly when no one's looking.

oaksong Saw those $5.99 G45 and I couldn't figure out why they cost so much. Crazy! The Doodlebug epoxy brads were a funky shade of pale yellow tint. Doodlebug's boutique brads don't have epoxy but are shaped and glittered brads and they seem to age without any discoloration. Just something about that epoxy that doesn't age well for some reason. Doodlebug's boutique brads retail for $7.99 a pack where TM's epoxy Doodlebug brads were only $1.99 per pack. The tangerine marmalade and grasshopper green brads looked OK but it might just be because yellowing doesn't visually affect those colors all that much. I was just so thrilled to find my very favorite brand of scrapgoods at a discount: Doodlebug is hard to find in person so I usually have to order it online. I can't figure out how TM pricing works but it's definitely worth digging thru the shelves if you have a store nearby. Luckily, TM is a few miles away from my house so I can try that hit-or-miss early-and-often shopping technique

I was in Topeka, Kansas for the weekend. Those Graphic 45 stickers are mismarked there too. I found lots of fun packs of paper there. They had boy and girl rodeo paper.

I stopped by the one near me. Sometimes they have had good stuff, but it's very unpredictable. I left empty handed today.

I stopped at mine on the 31st but they didn't have anything - they did have the paper from G45 but it was $5.99 per pack and I won't pay that much for all the same sheet and they didn't have any that were tempting anyway. Mostly the same stuff they have had a while. I got a couple bottles of stickles in silver for making tags at Christmas time. I also bought a spool of bakers twine. Nothing else tempting - Mondays are when they get the new stuff but nothing new at mine. I don't plan on stopping in again any time real soon - so maybe I will wait a week or two LOL.

There hasn't been anything new at my TMs. Hoping for something new soon. Love their deals though.

My local store is very hit and miss, but I may try to stop by there this weekend! I do love looking through the Christmas stuff when they first get it in!

Our craft aisle is looking very picked over. There's barely any paper (but yes, we have the mismarked Graphic 45 sheets) and most of the Doodlebug stuff, Thickers alphabets, and American Crafts DIY line has been decimated.
It's very sad.

I went to one of my better selection TMs this past week. Just a bunch of pickd over items, and one lady was hogging a whole section that I could not really look at, but from afar there did not appear to be anything I wanted anyway. Good for me because instead I got my piggy stamp set. Have you seen it? One of our very own Refupeas entered her piggy into a contest for a friend for Simon at Simon Says Stamp. Dexter won! Simon and DexterSorry....I know this a TM thread, but I really like Dexter! ETA: It is a Stamptember featured set, so I think once it's gone, it's gone. I missed out on a Lawn Fawn set last year because I procrastinated.

what I saw was the Mother Goose G45... I think it was die-cut envelopes, small tags, etc. that you would punch out of either one 12x12 paper (folded?) or two pieces that were 6x12. That's all I saw in the store, and I only made a point to look at that to check out the price; sure enough, they were mis-marked at $5.99, which was tons more than it should have cost, even at full price.

I went to TM this morning, first time in many months. There used to be two not too far away from where I work (in opposite directions) but both are gone. The closest one to me now is about 25 miles away. My main reason for going was to see if they had the large pink AC self-heal mats and they did!!! I bought all three of them, lol. I will keep two and give the third to a friend. I also bought a 12x12 paper pad of Pebbles Garden Party and two embellishments from AC DIY Shop - small burlap bows and white & gold glittered tags. They had a few different varieties of the Buttons Galore button bags. Most of the buttons seemed to be the really bigs ones, which I'm not really interested in, but there was a turquoise bag so I did get that one for the mid-to-small ones included. I can never have too much turquoise! ETA: I saw the G45 tags everyone else is seeing for the whack price of $5.99

I went yesterday bc I was over there, just to make sure I wasn't missing something. They did have some new DCWV paper pads. A nautical one and a few others I can't recall. But I generally try not to buy pads - too much paper for me. But I thought if mention them incase someone is interested.
They had a few newer spellbinders things -mostly small nested dies. Tiny triangles, heart and ovals I think.
They're getting yarn today, according to their ad.
I left empty handed! Again! Lol!

I was out and about yesterday, and although I wasn't far (meaning within 30 miles, lol) of two different ones, I didn't even bother to stop. Now that's bad, for me to not want to even stop!

alissa103 I have been buying up some of those nested Spellbinders dies, they're so nice for card making or when I just want to make something quick. Maybe I'll have to check to see if my store has any of the smaller sets this week, the hearts would be useful. I just got two of the border die sets last time I was there, I just wish they were about 1/2" longer than they are!

I have a bunch of punches too but haven't really unpacked that box yet because I don't know where I'll put them. I sold off a ton of punches I knew I wouldn't use anymore but I did keep the hearts, circles, squares and basic shapes. I think I like the thin dies better than punches because it's easier to bring a bunch of them to a crop. They take up less room and weigh a LOT less when you're toting stuff back and forth!
