I sell clothes on eBay and want to improve my photos. I've just purchased a mannequin and that's helping. Have done a bit of reading and know that I need to improve my backdrop. Which do you prefer to use as a backdrop, white fabric or white paper. I read that "Savage Paper" is good to use. If you use fabric, what kind of fabric do you like? Also, is it true that I need two sets of lights? One on the white backdrop to make the white background look even whiter. And a second set of lights on each side of the mannequin to light that up. Any hints you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Savage paper color white is better than fabric because it does not have wrinkles. You need two sets of lights to get that high key look. One shines at the backdrop and the other illuminates the mannequin. The advantage of lighthing the white backdrop is that the backdrop reflects the light back to the mannequin and "wrapping" around the sides to lighten and "opens" up the shadows.
