Dd has gorgeous long thick medium brown hair. She is getting a bunch of dead ends cut off today and wants to do something to it to make it soft and shiny and rich looking. She was thinking about colouring it a deep dark brown but isn't sure so I was thinking maybe there is a treatment of a product she could use to bring a shine and lustre to it without colouring and then decide later if she still wants the colour.
Any ideas what would be the best product to use?

I have straight brown hair (okay, with tons of grey "highlights"). I use a Tres Semme shine spray. It helps keep flyaways at bay and makes it shiny. Plus, it's reasonably priced and available at most drug stores.

what about getting a keratin treatment? my hair is always super healthy and shiny looking after those. or you could try getting a gloss treatment, I haven't done that but have heard good things.

They could do a clear or tinted gloss. Makes it super shiny and soft. I use to get those instead of coloring my hair.
