And I still haven't finished the album from my LAST holiday. Which was 2 years ago. I know it doesn't matter but I feel really stressed! I seem to have gone into 'crazy house cleaning mode' as it is. Tell me it's all going to be ok!

Tell me it's all going to be ok! Don't feel bad! I kind of went crazy traveling in the past year and now have Kenya and Tanzania to scrap Australia and New Zealand, And Italy!!! I did finish Santa Lucia and coaster Rica.

Well.... I used to do crazy house cleaning mode when I went on holiday because I always like to come home to a clean house. However.... I was causing myself so much stress with the huge TO DO list I was imposing on myself, and I would inevitably end up having an argument with my DH because he was without a care in the world, while I was "doing everything."
No more! Tidy is good enough. If I vacuum, I vaccum. If I don't have time, I'll do it when I get home. If I have a small load of laundry, well there will be more when I get back, so I may as well do it then.
Now I plan for relaxing time, and going to bed at a decent hour. So much easier!
So anyway..... stop stressing about the cleaning. IT WILL BE OK if it is not perfect when you leave!

It will be okay. I do the crazy house cleaning so that it isn't a scary mess for the pet/house sitter friend that stays at our house when we're gone! I wish I could just leave it a mess but with three dogs living here, that wouldn't be nice.

One of the best takeaways from the Scrap Gals podcast from a couple weeks ago was the motto "document now, make later." Keep all the written memories, the photos, etc. stored together. You can always make, you have a much more limited time to document. Enjoy your vacation!!!

Thanks for all the wise words ladies. I think I was just a bit overwhelmed last night; I had just had to re-arrange our pet care while we're away and I was feeling a bit swamped. FurryP You are so RIGHT! I was feeling really resentful of my OH for *just sitting there* while I was running around doing stuff. I have slowed down now. What's done is done, and what isn't will still be there when we get back.

I still haven't finished my vacation album from when my son was 1. He just turned 13. The world hasn't stopped. I just stopped fretting over it. It will be ok!
*ETA* Glad you're less stress. Hope you enjoy your vacation!
