Not sure if I am describing this properly. When I take pictures and upload them onto my computer, I alway delete the pictures off of the disk after they are uploaded. The next time I would use the camera the camera would assign the next number in line for the photos. For example, if I took 500 pictures and they were labeled 1-500, formatted the disk, the next picture would be number 501. This way once the pictures are uploaded they are all assigned different numbers and I never had any repeat numbers when I would order prints. This is how it worked with my Canon. Now I have a Nikon and it keeps starting back with 1 for pictures once I format the disk. How can I change this? Now if I want to order pictures since the pictures are assigned the same number it is a problem. I can't find the setting on the camera to change this.
