Hi everyone!
I'm shopping around for a new kit club... I just like to keep things fresh and try something new every couple of years. I first tried The ScrapRoom (loved it for 2 years!), then scrapbook generation (also really liked it for 2 years), and now I am subscribed to Scraptastic (love the options) but I'm ready to try something new again. Does anyone have any suggestions for kit clubs that they love? I do like having the option to pick between a couple of kits just in case one is too floral for me or I'm just not feeling the paper line.
TIA!

I'm currently with Scraptastic, and I like HIp Kit but there is no monthly option (ie 1 kit only). Have you looked at Citrus Twist, and Cocoa Daisy?

I figured SC was probably not going to be recommended! haha I don't really like their style anyways:) I will check out Hip Kit and Cocoa Daisy! I like Citrus Twist but sometimes I like some boy paper too not just pink.

My favorite of all time is Cocoa Daisy. Customer service is outstanding (really responsive to customers!!), and I love the kits. Nice mix of what's popular and lots of exclusives. Add-ons are sold as individual items that coordinate, not add on kits, which means you get exactly (and only!) the extra items you want. Great Design Team. Can't say enough good things about them.

I like Citrus Twist but sometimes I like some boy paper too not just pink. Lately, there's been lots of orange and yellow and some more neutrals like gray and woodgrain. If you haven't looked recently, you might want to look again. I have 2 girls and a boy and have subbed to CT off and on for 2 years. I hadn't really noticed that pink was the dominant color. I've had no trouble using my kits to scrap pages of my son. There's been lots of teal & aqua, but blue is my favorite color, so I use it a lot in all its shades anyway.

I have liked my Cocoa Daisy kit. Nice mix of papers and embellishments. Great CT team. I like that I can add on just the Day in the Life cards separately without a sub.

If you got Scrapbook Generation awhile ago, you may want to check out their kits again. They now have a Boy Crazy Club where the kit makes two spreads instead of just one. I've been really happy with the boy-friendly papers and designs. I just add anything else I want from their online store to my box too... so it's like a kit club on steroids when I get my box, too. Ha.
Part of the reason I don't get any of the other clubs listed is bc there is just so much pink! And florals. I don't use either very much. Scrap Room does a nice variety, though.

I enjoyed Cocoa Daisy after I moved from SC. I have boys too and found the kits worked well mostly. Not too much pink and even then the other side was usually usable. I liked being able to add the Day in the Life cards as well some months. I don't want them every month so it was a good compromise. I thought the kits were good value for money.

I have Cocoa Daisy and Citrus Twist on my try list. I'm going to be kit less for a while as we head into birthday and holiday season. Plus, I'm saving for a phone, so I need to hold off on a monthly kit for awhile. I also really loved Ali Edwards story kits. I hope to get a few more of those in the new year!

I just got my first scraptastic kits and they are great. The PL type kit is really impressive, the cards are super thick and cohesive! There was only one in the stack I wouldn't use,so that alone is pretty impressive! I really like the main kit too, their exclusive papers are so cute and will be incredibly easy to scrap with. I like the bag the kits came on and all the cute embellishments. Their wood veneer is particularly cute! Best of all though, is that I can use the kit and I actually have ideas for it! I am not a flowery girly girl scrapbooker, but this kit has some pink and beautiful colors but doesn't feel like I need to scrap feminine pictures with it. I could make feminine pages with it if I wanted, but the product doesn't dictate that I do. I am already anxiously awaiting the next months kit as one of the choices is a Halloween kit!

I loved Noel Mignon when I subbed there. I only stopped my sub because I had so much piling up -- that kit club really packs its monthly box with product, and I couldn't use it fast enough. I will say, I don't really like the PL kit there (I think it is called Daily Diary) -- the paper is pretty thin and I don't love the embellishments -- but the scrapbook kit was great. I have been off of subbing there for about a year and will probably sub again when she opens subscriptions again.

Do you think it's worth the price? They are the priciest of PL kits out there. But they are so packed and if the cards are as nice as you say, it might be worth it. Where can I see photos of their Halloween kit??

As the first kit club ever and still going strong 16 years later I love to recommend Club Scrap. I've been a member since 2000, and am still am member today. I adore their kits and really feel you get your money's with with this club. There are many options available today from the Deluxe kit which costs $33.95 and comes with cutting instructions so make 14 12x12 pages, to a Lite kit version which is $19.95 a months and makes 8 12x12 pages to a Card option that is $15.75 a month and makes 12 cards. There is even a digital version, and tons of additional options to add to your kit either to add on an regular monthly basis, or to order as you wish through their shop. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love Club Scrap! I have learned so much about the art of scrapping from them over the years through Tricia's (the owner) video's, workshops at their annual Retreat (I've gone 4 times) and the other amazing teachers they have, not to mention the guest artists they've had teaching including Tim Holtz! But you don't have to go to the Retreat to learn because they are constantly posting tips, tricks, hints and ideas through their blog. I've learned stamping, and all kinds of paper art through the years. Most importantly you won't find better customer service anywhere than from the folks who work here. Tricia, Karen, and so many others will bend over backwards to do what they can for their customers. The kits are themed but so many are neutral enough that you can use them for almost anything. I've learned to let the colors guide me more than the themes. Their website does have a gallery so you can see how their members have used some of the kit in the past. I think the best thing I love about Club Scrap is the fact that they design almost everything themselves. You will not find this paper available everywhere else on the store shelves or online, because they design it. Every month there is a new kit. With each kit there are 4 available rubber stamp sheets that we can order if we wish-and let me tell you these are so additive! They are amazing designs and because they are just flat rubber save us tons of money. I learned very quickly how easy it was to prepare them for stamping-you just cut out the designs, slap some of their amazing adhesive on the back, let it dry and it becomes just like a clear stamp, except you can't see through it. That's okay though because it more than makes up for it in stamping quality. I've always preferred rubber over clear stamps as for as quality is concerned. Tricia has a video on the site that shows you how easy this is to do. If you decide to sign up for the deluxe kit you have a choice of a side order-1 is a stamp sheet. 2. is an embellishment pack 3 is a card kit that is ready to go, you just have to put it together. I always get the embellishment pack because when you use ASLB it is the most useful to complete the pages. BTW, there are now 2 card kits. One is the side order option which you can also order separately for $19.95 that you don't have to stamp and is already stamped for you-you just put all of the pieces together. The other is the Card Option I described above that is $15.95-with that one you get a sheet of stamps and some paper and you do have to do stamping to make the cards. ASLB came about around 2007. It stands for Assembly Line Scrapbooking. Don't worry-it is not boring! Tricia came up with an idea one day to pre design pages out of a kit to use as much of the kit paper as possible and leave as little left over as possible. Now she does this for every kit and only has tiny scrap pieces of paper left over. You (before you even become a member) can view these pages for the kits under the website www.clubscrap.com under instructions. Look for Transformations which is the kit for September and really a gorgeous one I think, and you can see what I mean. You can also look at several of the kits and get an idea of the look of the kits of the past year. Now I don't follow these instructions 100%, I mix things up a bit as I see fit. So can you. And let me tell you I bulked quite a bit for a number of years before trying this-I was convinced there was NO WAY pages could be made before photos. But I was wrong. It does work. And it's fast and fun. Doesn't mean you have to use the kit this way at all. But it's there if you want it. Take a look around the store too before you sign up to see all of the goodies we have available to us. Once you sign up the prices will go down, so don't have a heart attack at the prices. Call Club Scrap up and chat with them with any and all questions you have. They are really, really nice folks. When you sign up you aren't locked into a certain number of months. It's just a month by month membership. You are surprised by the kit each month which arrives on the 1st. If you aren't sure you like this idea, sign up for the Lite kit, which is what I'm a member of. It comes on the 15th of the month. That gives me time to see the kit before it arrives. If I absolutely love it, like I did this month I just go to the store and add the Deluxe kit to my order (which by the way I forgot to add any shopping you do in the store before your kit arrives they will ship to you for an additional $2.00 shipping fee). Isn't that great?! They also have sales in their shop. I'm so sorry I've written a novel here! They are just unique and I wanted to let you all know about them. If you haven't check them out their website a glance-www.clubscrap.com. And I do not work there-just love them very much! Debbie in MD.

I do think they are worth it, especially since I will use everything included (except one single card) and I get the main too so the shipping is combined. The cards are thicker then SC cards and I really like the designs. I got the sneak of the Halloween kit with my subber newsletter, I get of you email and ask she would send it since the website is not up yet.

I am feeling very tempted by cocoa daisy to replace my PL sub at SC. Love their October sneak and see that they have a 3 month prepaid sub option. Curious if anyone can chime in on the quality of their cards.... After subbing to SC I have turned into a paper snob and have a drawer full of BH core kit cards I never touch because the paper is so thin and flimsy. Just wondering how CD's cards compare before I pull the trigger

I've always wanted to try gossamer blue, but I worry they are a little too flowery for me. I know in the past they have had Nic Howard on their design team and she is my scrap hero (e.g. why I was sucked into Studio Calico). I also have been intrigued by Citrus Twist, but have not tried them myself.

Also, the cards seemed less useable than SC's were - they often had phrases on them I would never use.

Ive been with Gossamer Blue for close to a year now, I love the kits and love the customer service. They sent me the wrong add on a few months ago and they were happy to let me keep it and they sent the correct one out the same day.
Citrus Twist and Hip Kit are on my list to try! I love the nicolejones911 group on FB and most of those girls sub to Hip Kit

Just wondering how CD's cards compare before I pull the trigger I bought the CD Hemingway kit (fav author and lots of book themed stuff) and the cards are really a nice weight. Lighter than SC, but definitely not flimsy. They have a nicer, smoother finish that the BH cards. I think they're a good substitute if you like their style. What I really like about the CD kit is the add-on's. Full size packets of alphas, stickers, and tags plus a few 6x6 sheets of pp. I'd definitely order a kit here-and-there from them again. I'm also a paper snob, but the reality is, once it's in the pocket, you'll never know how thin it is. LOL If I keep telling myself this, maybe I'll believe it enough to cancel my SC sub. Sometimes, I wonder if the reason my first year of PL all fit easily into one album, yet I'm needing two this year is because the cards are so darn thick. I should count the pp to compare.

Anyone have any experience with Clique Kits? I've been on the wait list but think I may be able to start a sub in December. I like what their past kits have looked like. Would like to hear from someone before I pull the trigger on a sub there. Thank you!

I had a Blinks of Life pocket membership for a few months. I love their cards but not enough embellishments for me. I switched it to a card only membership about three months ago. The weight of the cards are nice but there's not a lot of variety from month to month. I finally cancelled because the cards were piling up.

I bought the September Hip Kit and really enjoyed it (i've already used it to the point that it's no longer a kit). Just yesterday I signed up for the 3 month subscription. The owner (?), Kimberly, was really helpful and promptly answered my questions that I emailed. Seemed super sweet and appreciative.
I don't do PL, but their October PL looks really nice, imo.
