I have perfect pitch. And could play the piano at age 5 before I had lessons. Me too! And could play the violin. If I had been born in the 20s or 90s. I would be a famous opera singer.

I read really really fast. It helps with leisure reading but not educational/textbooks.

I was a good tennis player before I was sidelined by back problems, I have a good singing voice and I'm told I should be a writer.

my memory for random stuff is pretty good, but not often actually useful. I also read pretty fast, too.

I'm really good at rhyming. I can make up a silly song to a myriad of tunes to fit any situation, lol. It annoys the crap out of my family, but my youngest DD also has this skill and has been using her powers to annoy her sister.
I'm not sure that is an actual "skill" but it is fun to serenade people in the TSA line to the tune of "Hey Jude" with lines about shoes and pat downs.

I'm really good at spacial reasoning and have never seen chaos that I can't organize. I also love cleaning and can get almost any stain out. It's a gift.

I can pack items into spaces no one believes will fit. Cars, boxes, suitcases...anything. My husband finally stopped arguing with me about it and now just moves things around as I ask and looks at me in awe when everything fits Tetris for adults! When I had my Miata, you should have seen me pack that car for a weekend crop! I would position bags in that teeny, tiny trunk, utilizing the space within my spare tire, the "shelf" behind the seats, every available spot. I actually had people take pictures of my packing skills. My particular unique talent is belly dance.

I can teach just about anything. I once taught nuclear physics to fifth graders - did not know any better until my principal told me how impressed she was. In my retirement I teach quilting and the like.
My last paying job was writing course materials for graduate courses in Healthcare Admin and Software Engineering.

Élannah, when I hear music, piano or orchestral, I know what key it is. In other words, if I hear a note played on the piano, I know what note it is. When I read music, I read it "in pitch", so singing in the choir is easy for me.

Not perfect pitch, but close - I'm right about 90% of the time. I have very good relative pitch, otherwise known as a "good ear." I sing very well, but not quite well enough to make a good living at it. Instead I perform for groups of middle schoolers. I sang some Adele for one of my choirs yesterday to make a point about vocal quality and age. I love teaching kids to sing and I'm pretty good at that, too.

I suck at math but am good with numbers. Mainly memorizing numbers. I had an office job and had remembered all the employee numbers and their coordinating truck numbers right away the other secretary there couldn't believe it as she had been there for years. Then I worked at the grocery store doing all the pricing, sales etc. Dealing with bar codes, each company has a unique first 5 digits (like the prefix for each phone number area) and last 5 digits for the products. I'd just know the first 5 so I could just remember the last 5 until I got back to my desk and could write them down. Not that memorizing numbers is that great of a talent but I didn't want to say nothing

I really needed you to help when my 18 yr. old daughter moved into her dorm 2 weeks ago! They have 3 girls in a small double! When we first saw the room, I almost took her home. The school set up the room so there was no walking space! One of the moms was in the military, so she knew how to make use of no space! The moms moved the 3 dressers, 3 desks and 3 beds and it looks better now. You could really come in handy helping kids arrange their dorm rooms!

I feel sorry for their dance teacher, the smell! The girls think it's talent! They certainly didn't get it from me or my husband.

I am very good at organizing and cleaning. Too bad I don't really enjoy it, lol. I am also really good at remembering people's birthdays. Even people that I don't see anymore or rarely see. I have also been told that I am really good at bossing people around, lol

I have the ability to rarely get lost in a foreign city. Yet I have spent thousands of dollars in gas being lost in my city that I have lived in for 20 years.

I get complimented on my baking all the time, but I'm another one that doesn't think it's that hard. But I enjoy that I get asked to make stuff all the time, because I love trying new recipes.
And I am proud of my sewing, haven't taken a class since junior high (20yrs ago) and have been able to figure out some pretty complicated patterns and I love doing it. But I am looking forward to being able to do it faster as I learn more.

In other words, if I hear a note played on the piano, I know what note it is. When I read music, I read it "in pitch", so singing in the choir is easy for me. That is interesting your mind and ear can read music like that! THAT is a real talent! I can "hear" when an instrument is in tune and out of tune even minutely. I used to study a samisen (a Japanese balalaika) as my Mama was a master teacher. She had many students and some played in tune and others didn't. When someone's instrument wasn't in perfect tune I could hear fingernails on a chalkboard. This is the same for *any* instrument. Your ability to see and read music like that is amazing. My ability is what I would call "annoying". (We are a musical family. My Mum played piano very well, my sister was an accomplished pianist until she got sick, DS played piano and did exams until he did them all and then studied jazz, I played the cello and went as far as I could without taking the teacher's exam.)

When I sit on the floor or ground I always tuck my legs back so that my ankles are touching my hips. People find this amazing but I've always sat that way. I've always done this, too! I'm really amazed at how much it freaks people out! I am also not double jointed, but able to bend a lot of my joints much farther than normal-my doctor really thought I had messed up my ankle until I showed him that the other one bent just as far. Lol. I also have a freaky fast math mind. I am also an exceptionally fast reader, remember tons of random trivia- no one wants to compete against me in trivia games, great logical skills, and I can burp the alphabet on command.

Unfortunately I was not gifted in the gift & talent category I take that back, friends do compliment my ability to research, find info, find deals & sales. They contact me when looking for a specific need or item.

I can't believe your kids don't use that to their homework advantage There have been past assignments when my DSs needed to create a jingle, silly statements, poems, etc.

Well, I just pulled the tails off of 35+ lbs of boiled crawfish. Next I'll peel them. That is pretty unique if you live in CA.
