I'm not usually someone who cares one way or the other about scrap celebs, but I just love Tim Holtz I got to see him at the rubber stamp convention last weekend. He was doing some demos. He's so nice--answering questions, posing for picture and all. Any other fan girls (or boys) out there?

I have taken classes from him at CKU and yes, he is SO much fun. Most of the "celebs" are much more fun in the classroom environment because they can let loose. Tim is a true artist and will perform for a crowd. Glad he did not disappoint.

I will sit with you on the fangirl bench. Tim & Mario have been out to teach here three times. We had a Masterclass this last march- lots of socialising built into it. A very down-to-earth pair. Some of the other "schlebs" we have had- not so much.

He seems so down to earth and like he really appreciates his fans.

I've gone to classes with Donna Downey at her studio here in NC. She's hysterical and makes everyone feel welcome. In May, I got to go there for a class with Stephanie Ackerman. Another really nice person. I'd love to go to a Brave Girls event. Maybe someday after we move out west...

Total Tim fangirl here. Although I'm a bigger Mario fangirl! They are both so very nice and I have been lucky enough to take classes with Tim several times. Jen McGuire is super nice, as is Shari Carroll. I've also met some "scrap celebs" that have not been so awesome in person.

I met Heidi Sonboul at the Scrapbook Expo in Anaheim. She was showing her new Chickaniddy lines. While I think the name is silly, she was really nice. Posed for photos, talked with us, and we knew one of her DT people so that was nice to talk about. If she was faking being so happy and kind she'd have to be a real good actor.

Congratulations! Although I've never seen Tim in person, I enjoy watching his videos. He comes across as kind, down-to-earth and, of course, very talented.

I took a class with Tim at a CHA a few years ago & you're right - he's an amazing teacher. He explains things thoroughly, is very inspiring and entertaining as well. Probably the best scrappy teacher I've ever had the pleasure of learning from in person! And his style isn't even like mine, but I learned so much from him that I can incorporate into my style. Totally worth it. Glad you enjoyed meeting him!

I took his class at the last two Scrapfests and I found him to be so friendly and personable. He made sure there was time at the end of class to pose for pictures and to sign books, projects, etc. He also provided so much product and extras (like aprons). You can tell he really enjoys what he does.
I also have met Teresa Collins (so great!) and Maggie Holmes (so sweet!) at Scrapfest. I am really gonna miss going to those now that Archivers has closed their physical locations.

Tim comes to my neck of the woods a couple times a year for a stamp convention for Stampers Anonymous. I always make sure to go. He is so nice and funny. I've met a couple other "paper celebs" through classes I've taken and he has been the nicest. Oh Amy Tan was really sweet too!

Ok so I was SO excited to have Lisa Bearnson teach at one of the old CKC conventions and that year I volunteered to help out- and I got to be in one of her classes. That's as close of a celeb sighting I can say-- and that was YEARS ago... That is so cool you go to meet Tim!!
