Has anyone seen this month's story kit from Ali? aliedwards.com/themes/black-and-whiteI am so bummed because I cancelled for this month (I am still trying to save for a phone plus I knew I wouldn't have anything left after December Daily preorder) but this looks like a great theme now that I'm looking at the cards and stamps! I can't wait to get back to my Story Kits (hopefully November). I absolutely adore them.

I quit subscribing two months ago - I just had a bunch of stuff I needed to use up. However, I really love this month.

This month looks great, as usual. The themes for most of 2016 are up also and they all are very appealing!

I thought this kit looked awesome. I am really thinking this might be the route I go for PL this year. My current way is getting tedious, I think Ali's story kits will really spice it up.

I'm actually sad that I can't see the classroom this month! I actually miss it! cynipidae17 I thing that's how anniefb is doing her PL going forward. I actually haven't included any of the kits I've received so far in PL...I've made mostly LO's! I have a few cards leftover, though, that I may use in PL. If I ever get the energy up to print pictures again (being sick for a month blows).

Like kellyv, I signed up for 12 months, too. I've not regretted it once. Now that some of the topics for next year are posted, I'm more inclined to keep my subscription going. I've cancelled all my other subscriptions and that's also something I haven't regretted.

Yes @abr79 is right this is what I'll be using for PL in 2016 although I've already started a new album for the 2 kits I've received so far. I decided my PL album is getting a bit boring because I mostly do the same things over and over so I'll be using a thematic approach instead and doing a mixture of pocket pages and layouts.

Yes, anniefb that is why I wanted to change how I do it too. I am just not as into this year and I am hoping with themes I will get more into it. Plus I haven't found a PL I like as much as studio calico.

Plus I haven't found a PL I like as much as studio calico. Yeah, I've mostly been happy with my SC PL kits it's just my life which is a bit too repetitive LOL! I've done 18 months of monthly PL but don't want another year the same. Guess it's good to change it up a bit and Ali's educational content is fantastic. I've wanted to challenge myself and improve my story writing and there's a lot of great inspiration in the lessons and message board which has got me really excited about scrapping.

I have subscribed to the story kits from the beginning and have loved them. At first I used them the way you are supposed to - watched the videos, read the handouts, posted in the gallery, etc. Then life got in the way and I just haven't been scrapbooking traditional layouts as much. BUT - I am still using her kits every month. I am just using the products in PL. Seriously, for only $22 a month, I get great stuff every month that is my style that I know I will use no matter what. I have been a very happy customer. I do hope to get back to using her products to tell more meaningful stories soon.

I started subbing to the stamp in June and the story kit as well in July. I am a happy customer, and this month looks great. I bought some of the back kits and stamps off of a FB board, and I have been using the "firsts" and "gatherings" kits for pages about my new baby -- her first days, meeting extended family, etc.

I think it'll be a really personal illustration of my life now but also reflecting on the past. It'll be a lot more 'real' (to me) than my current album because I'm sharing a lot more about my thoughts and what's behind things, rather than just the surface of events or the daily routine. I have enjoyed PL but really want to dig deeper and I guess go outside my comfort zone a bit. The themes seem like the perfect prompts to do that. Here are a couple of examples of spreads so far - one from Build and one from Roots. I'm mixing current and older photos and trying to make the stories the key:

Those layouts are fantastic, anniefb and you've pretty much convinced me to start asap. This is how I want to do my 2016 PL. But, I've lost all interest in finishing up this year doing the same old, same old. Now you've got me thinking of doing an abridged version of July and August in my first album of 2015, and change focus this month. I'm inspired and eager to use my story kits. The 3-4 months of SC kits, not quite so much. I did a mini-album for our vacation and was amazed at how quickly it came together using products I love vs what's in the grey box. I love the mix of the 1B and a full page. Best of both worlds: pocket pages and traditional layouts. Thank you for sharing.

I love those spreads! They're so good!
I've also really loved my story kits. They've made me put a lot more thought and reflection into my scrapboking, which makes me love my projects so much more.

I really like the kit. Was a bit bummed that there weren't more layouts in the class for this month - mainly project life.

anniefb those pages are amazing!! I am super excited for this months kit. Super impatient to get the envelope in the mail! I'm already doing some journaling and gathering my thoughts and ideas. It's stupid, but one of my cats is a tuxedo so I'll be doing a Gimli layout

This is my favorite stamp set she has released, can we order it a la carte? i didn't notice a response to this @skellinton so i thought i would chime in…as far as i know it is similar to the SC policy. you would need to sub to the stamp kit for one month and then remember to cancel. i think that is how they are doing it.

Thanks for the info about the stamp, I think I might one off this one, it is really good! saralovesducks there is nothing silly about doing a layout about your tuxedo cat! Seems like this set is perfect, and I love the shot of him yawning. There is not much cuter than a good cat yawn, especially since most cats lead such exhilarating and exhausting lives! All that lounging in cardboard boxes and finding the sun spots can really take it out of you!
