Thanks for the info about the stamp, I think I might one off this one, it is really good! saralovesducks there is nothing silly about doing a layout about your tuxedo cat! Seems like this set is perfect, and I love the shot of him yawning. There is not much cuter than a good cat yawn, especially since most cats lead such exhilarating and exhausting lives! All that lounging in cardboard boxes and finding the sun spots can really take it out of you!

This month looks great, as usual. The themes for most of 2016 are up also and they all are very appealing! I searched around and couldn't find the themes - can someone point me in that direction? thanks

Ok, I am seriously considering dropping my FF embellishment kit and getting the story kit sub instead. I am confused though, do you have to sub to both stamp and kit to get class access? Is it the same for both kit or stamp? I am assuming her online content is pretty good as her in person classes have always been great and her online classes get glowing reviews. Do most of you who sub feel the class adds a lot of value? I hate taking online classes, but I really want to focus on telling the stories of photos I take and actually journaling. I think maybe this kit and her online class may be the kick in the booty I need!

The online content is excellent. Every month there are 3-4 videos - a product overview and several process videos. There's also a PDF handout which summarises the reasoning behind the theme and gives ideas about how to use it.
Plus you get access to the private message board and gallery.

This stamp may make me sign up! I also love the sounds of upcoming themes. Sigh. I don't NEED more stuff! But I do really really like what I'm seeing. I wish it weren't so expensive (the canadian dollar is low) because I'd like both the stamp and the kit, but I think the stamp is more important to me.

I have the same issue with the kiwi dollar kitbop. The Story Kit just cost me NZ$42 this month - ugh. But honestly, even if I couldn't afford any other SB products, it's the sub I'd stick with because Ali's ideas are sooo amazing and it's got me excited about scrapping again and telling meaningful stories. However, I think I might sign up for a 12 month sub to try and save a few dollars each month.

anniefb those pages are amazing!! I am super excited for this months kit. Super impatient to get the envelope in the mail! I'm already doing some journaling and gathering my thoughts and ideas. It's stupid, but one of my cats is a tuxedo so I'll be doing a Gimli layout OMG. This picture is hysterical!

I totally get the poor dollar thing (I'm also Canadian). If you like digital scrapping, there is that option. Then, you'd get both the stamps and printables to use for the price of subbing to just one of the two physical products. For the first few months, I subbed to the story kit (too lazy to print my own cards) and bought the digital stamp from Ali's shop ($5). Since I've cancelled one SC sub, and plan to let go my other one, I subbed to the story stamp set so I'd get the digital files too. $40 for stamp, kit, and digis of each is worth it since Ali's stuff can be reused over and over without growing stale.

I'm a Canadian too and to be honest both the story stamp and kit cost me right around $50 each month however with the low shipping rate and the value of the kits, stamps and class content I'm willing to splurge. I fin that the story sparks and the kits help me to use up my stash and love scrapbooking again. I've been scrapbooking since 1999 and I was getting burnt out, like how many layout could I really do about my kids? Love them but there are only so many "hope you dance" type of layouts that I could do. I find that this subscription has rekindled my love of scrapbooking and telling stories again. To me that's priceless! Plus no drama and hassle!

Does everyone get the stamp and the story kit? I am not a huge stamper, but I am so used to buying from SC where I buy add-ons. I rarely just get my kit at SC, so money wise I think AE will be cheaper, but what if I don't ever use the stamps?

I am not really a stamper, so I ended up selling some of those off. Looking back, I would only get the paper kit. For me, it is just better money spent.

I was just having this debate with myself - if I felt the need to cut back expenses, would I give up the kit or the stamps? My decision was I would give up the kit. But I'm a stamper so that weighs heavily in this. Since this is now my only subscription, I hope to be able to keep both.

Thank you so much! I'm not sure how I missed it. I have to say I am seriously considering this kit. I wanted it when it debut, but I didn't because of Studio Calico. I just may have to suck it up.

abr79 Thank you!! I'm sorry he's gone Gimli is my first cat, along with Sen, my feisty calico (they're rescues and a little over two years old). Can't imagine the heartbreak of losing them, which I know it's coming eventually, of course, but...DREAD. freeatlast Thank you! Skellinton LOL don't forget nesting in clean laundry, taxing stuff! aggiebonfire00 It cracks me up too. I got it out of sheer luck (and a tad of obsessive kitty-photo-taking behavior)

My sub to both the Kit and Stamp costs me around 42-45€ with a 6 month commitment, but I also might sign up for a year. Worth every cent!

I just get the Story Kit because I can't afford both and figured I'd get more use from the Kit. I have a lot of stamps already and don't want to be adding a large set every month. Plus for me in New Zealand it's harder to sell surplus stuff. So far I've been using up every scrap of the Kit and that's very satisfying

anniefb, each month the digital stamps go up for sale a few days after the release. The Story Kits are so easy to use up (or set aside for specific stories). It's such a change from trying to get your money's worth out of a pretty kit that doesn't spark a whole lot of ideas. I also find selling off supplies to be more headache. The cost of postage is often almost as much as the physical product. No one's interested in that and giving customers a discount on shipping means I'm not even breaking even.

I got the stamp sub for six months and I do love them, but I am not much of a stamper so I cancelled the stamp sub. I will continually use the stamps I have because they are so versatile, but I just didn't know if I would need a set every month (because of not being a stamper.) If I ever start stamping more in the future, I could easily see myself adding the stamp sub back in.

I'm not a regular stamper, but I figured for an extra $20, I'm getting a stamp set plus the digital files (all cards, some/most embellies, and the stamp). That significantly increased the value of the stamp set to me. I may not get much use out of it, but the ability to recolour and print extra cards is a welcomed bonus.

Because of this thread I've just started a 6-month sub to the Story kit. I'm a semi-lapsed scrapper who needs a bit of a kick-start to get me going in earnest again, and I especially want to improve my journaling, so I'm hoping this will help on both fronts. I have to say I'm pretty impressed that my kit shipped within 5 hours of placing the order

I love my AE sub. I get both the Stamp and Story kit. I am always motivated to scrap as soon as I open the package. I can honestly say that these are supplies that I am using. I have zero regrets about subbing. I am not a huge stamper, but I use these stamps. They are really versatile and I think I'm definitely getting my money's worth out of them.

The stamps are also timeless. Even if you pull them out a year or two from now, they won't have the dated feel of moustaches, pineapples, or field animals that are EVERYWHERE then nowhere.
