Recently I'm really loving PL spreads that use mostly white with some touches of color. I've noticed that many of the photos possess this white/dreamy quality (sorry I'm not sure how to quite describe it!). Anyone know how to take photos with that look?
Thank you for your help!

Can you post a link to a photo with the look you want? I think I know what you mean but I want to make sure. It isn't completely in the how you take the photo but a large part of it is how the image is manipulated after it is taken. You'll need a good photo editor to get the look.

I know what you are talking about. Most people use an app Pic Tap Go. It's made by the same people who make Totally Rad actions for Photoshop and Lightroom. Basically, it's pre-made actions that you can customize and layer. It's a heck of a lot cheaper than the full actions. I went ahead and bought it but haven't played with much yet. I like that look, too.

you could replicate it with careful lighting but the easiest way is probably in post-editing using photoshop etc. play about with : white balance - moving it towards a bluer tone, decrease colour saturation, use levels - moving white + grey arrows to the right to lighten your highlights and midtones.

If you like lots of white you might also be interested in the Simply White templates from Tracy Larsen. I use both her white pages and 4x6 templates and really like the look: tracylarsen.weebly.com

I used Pic tap go all of the time and I LOVE it!!! I think you are talking about the type of photo editing that Marcy Penner uses, I love how soft it looks. I can get that effect with Pic Tap Go, it's an app and is super cheap. I have Photoshop Elements, but it's so much easier to do the editing on my phone instead.

Thanks for the tip about Marcy Penner. Just saw she uses some actions from A Beautiful Mess and bought the PSE collection from them

I wish I knew what you all were talking about... links anyone? I think this is what Alexxussss had in mind. The photo has been edited with an action from A Beautiful Mess.
