So what is it that you enjoy most about scrapbooking -- right now? Is there a You Tube video you can't wait to watch? A certain line or manufacturer or product or embellishment? Project life? December daily? (There is a huge Thread about December Daily, so this might be a popular answer.) Your creative Cameo or Silhouette use? A kit club? A favorite blog or website or online store? Personally, I can't think of anything, so I'm hoping you have a scrapbooking something that you're excited about to share - maybe by then I will think of something

I'm excited about using Ali's story kits in a PL fashion. anniefb posted a couple of great layouts. I found her approach really inspiring.

I have been watching pocket letter and scraptastic kit videos. Actually a few different kit videos but decided to order the September scraptastic kit this morning. I have also committed to a pocket letter swap for Thanksgiving and Christmas themes.

Probably not considered hot or new, as I feel like a newbie in the crafting world so nearly everything is new to me, but I had one of those waste of a couple hours days last week where I jumped from youtube video to youtube video and amy tan's video about painting words with watercolor paints totally got me inspired. Pulled out my watercolor paint palette from classes I took last year at our botanical garden and had a field day! So I watched some more and realized I just had to have the Furetake paint set that Jennifer McGuire used in her video www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSohwKOlWzA. So I ordered it. Pretty new I think is the Panduh Box I got delivered yesterday that was loaded with goodies!! Now THAT is what I expect from a planner kit!!! And it was packaged with such TLC - a waterproof purple cover over the shipping box, my name on the tag carefully wrapped around the stuff inside. I'm not a make your planner look like a party kind-of-girl but I like very selective use of colored items and the lovely lovely scissors included with this gift are such an awesome thing to include. I think this was just her second box to send out as a sub, but if this is the kind of things she'll be sending, I'm hooked. www.paperpanduh.com

So what is it that you enjoy most about scrapbooking -- right now? New releases are hitting stores; my memorabilia is finally organized; fall/winter seasons means more time to scrap! Is there a You Tube video you can't wait to watch? I don't watch scrap process or haul videos. A certain line or manufacturer or product or embellishment? I'm looking forward to October Afternoon Under the Tree collection & the Doodlebug sports lines - both for the classic patterns on the reverse sides of the papers; surprisingly, I've never purchased any Doodlebug products to date, so this will be a first. Project life? I don't pocket scrap, although I occasionally insert divided page protectors into my albums to hold extra photos or memorabilia. December daily? (There is a huge Thread about December Daily, so this might be a popular answer.) I don't create a separate album for December. Your creative Cameo or Silhouette use? Given my self-imposed ban on electronics in my craft room, I use a manual diecut machine. A kit club? I have never subscribed to a kit club. A favorite blog or website or online store? This is the only scrap-related website I visit. I primarily purchase supplies from local businesses or LSSs en route to visiting family out-of-town/-state.

Since all of the magazines have gone belly up I find it's harder to get excited about stuff because it's not easy to see what's coming out and it's hard to hunt for something when you don't know what it is. Unless I get an email from ACOT or Scrapbook.com that shows something interesting or someone here mentions something I don't even know what exists. So what is it that you enjoy most about scrapbooking -- right now? The fact that I actually CAN scrapbook now!
Is there a You Tube video you can't wait to watch? Not really, but I'll probably turn some on once I really start working on stuff in my studio.
A certain line or manufacturer or product or embellishment? I just bought some fun thin dies from Echo Park that will be fun for making cards.
Project life? I don't do PL.
December daily? (There is a huge Thread about December Daily, so this might be a popular answer.) I would like to get at least one year closer to caught up this fall!
Your creative Cameo or Silhouette use? I'd like to get up to speed on SCAL. I'm so used to Funtime that it's just easier to do what I know, but I really need to learn how to use my new cutter better!
A kit club? N/A
A favorite blog or website or online store? I follow the blogs by Shelley McDaniel and Tammy Tutterow and also Patter here.

This isn't new or anything, but I like that layouts are going back to being "flatter" than in recent years. I've never been a fan of super bumpy or thick layouts, and I like that newer products are more flat.

I haven't used on a layout yet but have been playing with watercolors - so much fun.
I want to play with lots of other things like texture paste I think that's what it's called.
No scrapping but I had fun playing with the Halloween marquee shapes and finished two today the ghost and the skull. I hope to finish the pumpkin and bat tomorrow.

I think what I enjoy most about scrapbooking right now is being true to the simpler side of me. I have scrapbooked many different ways and in 2015 I decided to just embrace the part of me that wants a truly manageable stash and a clean, simple style. I have been happy with every part of that decision: I like having a small amount of things to choose from, I like only buying what I really love and know I will use, I like telling meaningful stories and not just making pages for the sake of using pretty paper, I like the uncluttered, pleasing (to me) end result, and I like the consistency. I enjoyed everything I have done in the past and I enjoyed being a part of a kit club, but I am really happy just doing what I am doing now. I know that probably most other scrappers won't relate to my exact style or approach, but that's okay.

First, thank you crazy4scraps. You are too sweet! With two puppies, I have not had as much time in my studio, and I miss it. I need to work out a new schedule for sure! And to answer the questions above: *What I enjoy most about crafting now is mixed media. I don't scrap as much as I do mixed media. LOVE it! Love getting messy and not being perfect. Yes, I used to be a perfectionist. *YouTube videos I watch as I see something on Facebook or Pinterest. Mostly mixed media stuff I watch. Never haul videos. I don't get the purpose of those. *And my favorite manufacturer would be Blue Fern Studios. Totally my style! *Bought a silhouette last year, and I can't stand it. I never use it, and need to sell it. *No kit clubs for me. *Lots of favorite blogs and people I follow. They are linked on my blog.

So what is it that you enjoy most about scrapbooking -- right now? My Big Shot. I've been cutting and embossing up a storm! Is there a You Tube video you can't wait to watch? I love cardmaking process videos IF they're well done. A certain line or manufacturer or product or embellishment? I'm really into Art Impressions lately. Project life? Not really. I've had a couple of false starts with it, and it's left me feeling defeated! December daily? (There is a huge Thread about December Daily, so this might be a popular answer.) No. December is way too crazy for me already. Your creative Cameo or Silhouette use? N/A - although even my Cricut has been idle for several months... A kit club? I wish! A favorite blog or website or online store? Anna Griffin always has beautiful stuff. I subscribe to her blog, and I buy some of her products. I've rediscovered embossing lately. A Kaisercraft store opened in my city and they have some great embossing folders, so I've been picking up new ones every couple of weeks. It's such a quick, easy technique and it adds so much texture without adding bulk. I love the satisfaction of opening that folder on the other side of my Big Shot!

I've never been a fan of super bumpy or thick layouts, and I like that newer products are more flat. Yes, me, too. I love the layered look and with flatter embellishments they look really nice without bulking out the scrapbook album. I, too, have not been keeping up with scrapbook trends and because of that, my scrapbook purchases have diminished considerably (plus I also do other sorts of crafts). But I have a TON of scrapbook supplies on hand and after all the years I've been into scrapbooking, I've finally found my style and what I like to do best, so I'm good.

So what is it that you enjoy most about scrapbooking -- right now? I enjoy the story telling aspect. I've always loved journaling and have been extra inspired by Ali and her story kits.
Is there a You Tube video you can't wait to watch? I have a few on my subscription list that I'll watch when I"m bored but none that I wait for impatiently.
A certain line or manufacturer or product or embellishment? I've been crushing on Crate Paper lately...I love their stuff!
Project life? Still plugging away. Thanks to being sick for the past month and a half, I haven't been doing any scrapbooking lately and my PL album keeps giving me a look...
December daily? (There is a huge Thread about December Daily, so this might be a popular answer.) Yep! I can't wait for my kit to arrive (I ordered from Ali). It is my absolute favorite project of all time. I have 2 completed albums and this will be my third year.
Your creative Cameo or Silhouette use? I use neither.
A kit club? Not a regular subscription anymore but I do plan on continue Ali's story kits off an on.
A favorite blog or website or online store? NOthing that's a die hard fav - I peruse all different blogs and I like to shop at Scrapbook.com and ACOT.

So what is it that you enjoy most about scrapbooking -- right now? I mainly scrap for preservation of both the photo and the story, and being able to do it creatively is a nice bonus. Is there a You Tube video you can't wait to watch? I don't watch them A certain line or manufacturer or product or embellishment? I buy almost exclusively from Kaszazz, an Australian owned direct selling company (I'm also a consultant). Totally love their stuff. Project life? No, I don't like pocket scrapping at all. December daily? No. Your creative Cameo or Silhouette use? No electronic cutting machine, I have a big shot that I've used twice since I got it a year ago. A kit club? No. I have never subscribed to a kit club. Yes. I was a consultant with Top Line Creations years ago and got their monthly kit. None before or since then. A favorite blog or website or online store? I order online from Kaszazz and sometimes from another Aussie company, and am on a few facebook scrap groups. I don't read blogs though.

What I have been enjoying is the projects posted at the Graphic 45 blog. Many of them are mini albums, and I am enjoying making mini albums at the moment.
I love my Silhouette Cameo and use it all the time for various projects. My favorite company at the moment is Graphic 45, not sure which is my favorite line.
I don't do Project Life or December Daily and rarely watch YouTube videos. I don't subscribe to kits. I do enjoy finding ideas on Pinterest.

I'm just ready to watch lesson 4, but I totally want to play with die cut backgrounds now. (--I watch an art journaling class first and was not impressed.)

I'm loving Citrus twist kits, and just watched a class by Tracie something... on my free trial at big picture clases about making the center of your scrapbook the story, which i really want to try to do more of. My layouts lately feel sort of "hollow" if that makes sense. I'm needing to scale back on purchases, so i am not buying what i want to- which is the Simple stories fall line... what is it called... pumpkin spice? anyway, that and the october hip kit is making me crazy. I tried recreating it at paper issues but there was just enough sold out at PI to make me unsure if it would be full enough. OH yeah, and i shop at paper issues for everything i need outside of kits. AMAZING CS at both PI and CT.

So what is it that you enjoy most about scrapbooking -- right now? I'm finally at the point where I'm ready - eager even, to use or give away all those 'precious' supplies I buy but don't want to use up/ruin... Think it's a combination of a slow (months long), clean up and organization of my space, and some new medication...lol My anxiety is better controlled and I almost feel like I could say, "use it! Use it all! Who cares?" Is there a You Tube video you can't wait to watch? I tend to go in phases with who I'm obsessed with... Right now I'm liking Tim Holtz/altered/mini book type videos but don't have one channel that I watch for that... I do always like Irit Landgraf... A certain line or manufacturer or product or embellishment? I love OA and CP, as always... Have been getting into more Distress products, and am a big fan of ephemera packs... I don't buy collections so I tend to pick out the things I like from all different companies and lines... Project life? I do PL monthly, and I refuse to admit how many months I'm behind... I'm either in the mood to scrapbook or to PL... I can't seem to make myself do one or the other if I'm not in the mood... December daily? Yes! I tried Shimelle's JYC last year and it was good quality, but was focused on journaling (duh me), and I don't have many stories... No kids so most stories can be told with just a picture and a few words, names of people, the date, etc... This year I'm going to make one that's embellishment heavy - all decoration with a few photos, notes, souvenirs tucked in... More like a mini album I guess... I'm also going to only use stuff I already have... I've been buying Christmas stuff for years yet last year was the first time I did anything Christmas related... I have old OA and CP Christmas stuff, and I love it... I've started pulling stuff together... I'm going to start working on it now and enjoy the process instead of trying to schedule it into December commitments... Your creative Cameo or Silhouette use? I have a Silhouette, and need to use it more... It's in a cupboard and I'm apparently just too lazy to open the door and put it on my desk...lol I bought a manual die cutter last year and have been using that a lot though... I love stamp and die sets, and I love word dies... A kit club? No... International shipping is expensive and I'd rather buy exactly what I want rather than a box of some stuff I love and some I don't... I don't have kids/husband, so a lot of the family-centric stuff wouldn't get used by me... A favorite blog or website or online store? I look on Pinterest and Instagram for ideas... I love ACOT and Scrapbook.com and they have galleries, but I love shopping there even more so tend to not make it to the galleries...lol I like shopping from company sites too - PTI, WPlus9, MFT, etc... Jot magazine is a great free online magazine, and I like looking at manufacturer's blogs too... I've also been doing some art journaling, mixed media, collage, messy cut & paste type stuff lately... It's been freeing to use things however I want and not how they're 'supposed' to be used... That carries over into my scrapbooking and I'm less focused on copying a style or following a trend... I'm happier when I create now...

I don't know about 'hot, fun, new, or addictive' for me (other than shopping, lol!), but what I've been excited about most lately with scrapping is actually being able to finish pages and actually liking the way I now have my supplies stored-- not exactly glamorous, lol!
Keep in mind that I'm a slow scrapper; other than crops at stores once every couple months, I only scrap occasionally when I'm at home. But I finally have a system of storing my supplies that works for the way I scrap, and it makes it easier to actually finish a page rather than getting partway through then losing interest in the page because I can't find that 'one particular thing I want but I don't know exactly where it is' if you follow me.
I now am really enjoying the process of choosing and mixing my papers and embellishments from all different manufacturers and lines to use together on my pages; I sometimes come up with something totally unexpected as a final result.
ETA:
1) I just recently figured out a way to keep my Silhouette out on my workspace all the time, so hopefully I will be more apt to want to use it to make custom embellishments for my pages. When it was tucked away in a cabinet, I never wanted to clean my workspace off to get it out, so it very rarely got used. Hopefully my plan works!
2) It may be a strange thing, but I have finally started deleting digital photos, and to me, that's pretty darned exciting! I've taken thousands of photos with my digital camera over the last couple years, but crappy or not, I could never bring myself to delete any of them. I don't know why, but for whatever reason, I finally came to the realization that I don't need that blurry photo, or those 10 photos that are almost exactly the same (because I took them using sport mode). Or even, if I've already scrapped the page, and it's not something 'near and dear' to me photo-wise, I might delete most of the photos from that, too! (maybe.)
ETA #2: this one was really exciting to me, although it's kind of a duh! thing-- I recently started making cards using my SB stash of die cuts, 3x4 cards, stickers, etc. For me it was an 'aha' type moment, because before, my cards all had to have stamping on them; since I don't really like to stamp / color images any more, I felt like I couldn't really make handmade cards. But I have such a huge stash of SB embellishments, I finally decided to use them- and if it's on a card rather than on a page, there will always be more of them made.
(it's such a large mental struggle for me, the need to 'save' all the pretty supplies just to look at, versus actually 'using' my supplies for a project- but I think I'm finally winning it!)

Mixed media and watercolors are my jam.
I pretty much watch everything by Irit Landgraf right away.
WRMK Wildflower has my attention, but it's usually Crate Paper and October Afternoon that I buy up.
Project life: Sometimes, but 12-card LOs. December daily: Nah. No time, too many other projects in December.
Love my Silhouette. It frustrates me sometimes, though, because of the buggy software and how fast it churns through blades. It's inexpensive but time-consuming to get just right.
Never subbed to a kit club, but I do occasionally buy from stores attached to kit clubs.
I do most of my "new product" shopping on ACOT and most of my mixed media shopping on Joann and Scrapbook Warehouse.
