I have a project I want to do. I bought the wood I needed this morning and was set to get to work on it this afternoon. Can I find the sander anywhere? of course not. Did I in fact know where it was two weeks ago when I did a major clean up and reorganization of the store room? Of course. Have I personally used the sander or know that anyone in the family used the sander? Big fat nope.
Every time.
If I have a project to do there is always something missing. Even if I knew where it was two hours before when it's time to do the project I can't. Every flipping Oedipus loving time.
Tell me I'm not the only one.

I always say a project is not worth doing unless you have to make at least 3 trips to go get the materials you need.

You are not the only one. I had a class for which I needed safety glasses - those big clear things that wrap around your eyes and regular glasses. Last time I looked they were in my craft room. When I went to get them they were nowhere. DH searched the basement and on his second attempt found a pair that were all scratched up. It was 11 pm and the class was at 8 the next morning. I could barely see but my eyes were safe from flying glass. I have now bought a new pair and anyone who touches them will get smacked!

Almost every time. It's so annoying.

Not the only one. I get overwhelmed with the thought of doing a project, I rarely start one.

I have now avoided my project successfully. I have cleaned out my car, puttered away on the computer, edited some pictures, and generally wasted the time I needed for the project.
Now I think I will ask some friends if they have a sander I can borrow.
