I didn't see a thread so I thought I'd start one, who watched last night?
I thought Kim took their advice from last week and danced with her face by smiling the whole time.
Paula Deen is just so cooky. lol
Andy Grammer did an awesome number!

I was suprised that Chaka went over Gary and kim!! They dance again tonight, and someone goes tonight too? God I hope it's gary. That married couple is very good, and Bindi is very good.

I'm watching for Andy Grammer, I haven't seen the last few seasons. I wasn't able to see the whole episode yet, and do agree that Kim did better. I think Paula is a train wreck. and Nick is going great so far, I think he is nervous and hope he relaxes as he progresses.
I do enjoy seeing people improve over the season, but can't stand how the star and the dancer fawn over each other and continually touch each other (hugs etc) while talking to the judges after their performance.

Was Chaka much different from Patti last season? Patti hung in there for quite some time.

Probably the same. Maybe that is why I was surprised she went 1st?

I thought Bindi and Andy did great but I'm secretly rooting for Alek S. This grandma thinks he is just adorable.

I think they all improved except Chaka - she kept forgetting her steps and you could see it in her face every time. Even though Gary Busey is weird and akward, at least he remembered his steps - he just didn't have a lot. He will probably go tonight. I never knew Paula Deen was so crass and I don't know anything about Kim but she really improved over her last week performance. The jockey is so tiny but not a good dancer but he always makes me smile. There are some great dancers in the mix - the married couple, Bindi, Andy, Alek, Tamor and the Back Street Boy Nick. And I think Hayes Grier (spelling) has a lot of potential.
And can I just say I like Tom Bergeron. He is so quick witted and funny. And I miss Len Goodman.

I thought Patty wasmuch better than Chaka. Patty had mobility issues, but she knew what she was doing and had great musicality. Chaka seems like she wasn't even present for rehearsals and hasn't heard the music they were dancing to.
I think andy grammer seems like a creep, though i might be biased due to his songs.
I love Tamar. She seems so much more likeable than she is on 'the real' (even though i like that show), and she seems almost 10 years younger!
Of course i love Bindi, Alek, and the PenaVegas Are talented, though i find them kind of annoying.

We watched last night - mainly because our internet was out and couldn't have our nightly Netflix binge. Anyway, I miss Len, too. I'm just not a Julianne fan, though...especially since the whole Footloose remake debacle. Bindi was definitely my favorite. And while Gary was awkward, he was much better than Chaka (Chaka Kahn!)...so it was probably the right decision.

I am disappointed with the show this year. I don't see many of them dancing at all. It's not even the 90 seconds they used to do. Yes Bini is very good but she's young and seems to learn easily and with Derrick as her teacher of course she will be good.

Comments on Tuesday night's show:
Tamar consistently is the worst dressed, but the dancing does come easy for her.
I could never dance barefoot like Andy does, that must be hard on his dancing partner to force her to dance barefoot during their performances.
I thought Carlos was good even though the judges were hard on him. Same with Alek.
I couldn't believe Kim wore a dress with a sheer top! I could clearly see her pasties.
I'm constantly impressed by how Julianne finds something positive to say and has so much positive energy in giving constructive feedback. But I thought her dress and eye shadow was too Star War-ish.
I'm a tall girl too, but I think Erin shouldn't wear heels. She's usually in a long dress and the camera never shows her feet. But she just looks awkward towering over people in the interviews.
I want to keep a neutral/objective mindset towards Bindi. Yes she's Australia's sweetheart because she's so sweet and we all loved her dad. But I don't want to be swayed by that.
The dances feel too short this season.
I read somewhere that DWTS is rigged, the networks decides who is going to win and be eliminated each week. I think of one of the celebs from last season said that. Anyway it got me thinking, is that how the judges can always vote the same number or next as each other? They have those little notebooks in front of them, does that tell them what number they are supposed to give each contestant?

I'm enjoying the season so far, though Len is missed and the dances are so short!! Tamar was great tonight and I like Nick, Bindi and Carlos..Kim needs to watch her wardrobe, that dress top was totally sheer and super revealing.
One thing I really liked tonight was hearing about the pro's hometown. It was sweet.

This is the first season I haven't really watched it. And I am not missing it. I am recording it and will watch Bindi's dances.. cause I think she is adorable.. The rest of them on there I don't care about and I don't miss it. I am tuning into the Voice for a change and loving it.

I didn't watch last night (i Can only dedicate so much of my weeknights to DWTS!), but i think the blame should fall on the costume dept. If Kim's outfit was see through. I don't think the stars get much of a say when it comes to wardrobe, and i thought i had seen before that the stars and dancers only see the costumes like a day before the show?

This is one of my favorite shows to watch. There are some really good ones this season and some really bad ones. It is hard to watch through so many bad performances. Not that I could do any better, but I certainly wouldn't do something so public either. I wish they would mix up the stars and the more popular dancers wouldn't always get the better stars (as dancers). I would live to see Tony get a good partner or one of the newer pros. Derek, Mark, Val always get good partners. I love to watch them too and they are my favorites but the other pros don't seem to have a fair chance. Keo looks like her would do really good if he got a good partner.

Why does the show now have to be 2 hours and why make the "celebrities" dance through a dance when they are going to be eliminated? I did enjoy seeing the dance professionals talk a little bit about their lives. I knew something about Derick and Mark because I read Derick's book. I feel sorry for the professionals who get stuck with the terrible partners. I wonder if they get paid according to how long they stay on the show.

Yes Leeny, I commented on that to my friends the first night. I wonder if they will be longer once they have less participants. I'm sure it's a time issue to get all 13 to dance the first night.
