I've been looking to join Amazon Prime (I'll soon be working outside the home, instead of working at home, for the first time in a few years so I know it will be much needed!) and I found it is being offered for $67 this Friday so I thought I would pass along the savings to my Pea friends! Here is the newspaper article about it:
SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep. 22, 2015-- (NASDAQ: AMZN)—In celebration of five Emmy wins for Amazon Original series Transparent at the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards, Amazon today announced that Amazon Prime will be available for just $67. This one day discount will start on Friday, September 25 at 12:00 a.m. ET and end at 11:59 p.m. PT. New members can sign up for this limited-time Prime offer at Amazon.com/TransparentPrime.
On Sunday night, the star of Transparent, Jeffrey Tambor, took home the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Transparent creator Jill Soloway took home the trophy for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. Prime members can watch Transparent at no additional cost using the Amazon Video app for TVs, connected devices, phones and tablets, or online at Amazon.com/Transparent. Transparent is the second Amazon show to become an Emmy winner. Earlier this year Amazon Original kids series Tumble Leaf took home five Daytime Emmy wins including Outstanding Preschool Children’s Animated Program.
“This has been an incredibly exciting year—with the Golden Globes wins in January and now twelve nominations and five Primetime Emmy wins. We are thrilled to celebrate Transparent with our customers by offering a Prime discount,” said Michael Paull, Vice President of Digital Video for Amazon. “Congratulations again to Jill Soloway, Jeffrey Tambor and the cast and crew of Transparent for making such a beautiful show, and to our customers—enjoy!”

Hmmm... What happens if we renew ahead of schedule? As a long time Prime member, I'd like the discount!

Yah, me too! Five years of payments should earn me a discount now.

I don't have to renew until 3/25/16. Sure wish they would just extend mine by a year to 2017 and that I could get it for this $67 price!

I think in the past people have bought it and then gifted it to themselves, I don't know if that will work, but it might be worth a try.

I make my son order everything for me for free shipping. This looks worth it.

It annoys me when companies do this - how about rewarding your loyal customers with the discount first!

It would be worth the $ if multiple people could get the two day shipping.

We've been prime members for years! Our CC was just charged for our 1yr renewal. We'll be calling on the 25th to request a credit or an additional year added to our membership.

Looks like I can't buy Amazon Prime for $69 with my nonPrime account and gift it to my Prime account. Bummer.

I tried to give a Prime membership to my mom. The $67 promo is not available for gifting.
