On the PSA thread about backing up your backup devices, a few people mentioned using an online service as well.
Which ones do you recommend? I currently use Dropbox and Drive, but mainly just for access to various documents across devices. Which one is the best for backing up my computer, mainly pictures?
Thanks! Ü

Following this thread! One of my fast projects is organizing and backing up all of my digital pictures. I do have them backed up to DVDs and an EHD, but I need to find a good online backup as well.

If you have amazon prime, it's a good photo backup. I like their privacy policy better than googles.

I use Backblaze and highly recommend it. I've used CrashPlan in the past and found it too slow. I ruled out Carbonite when I was shopping (don't remember why). Mozy is really expensive compared to Backblaze and CrashPlan, but does't do anything special to justify the expense. Backblaze is only $5/computer/mo. Set it and forget it - it automatically backs EVERYTHING up. Restoring is easy, whether it's just one file or your whole drive. It's got a good iOS app (Android too, I assume), which can be really handy on the go. I get weekly emails confirming the backup status of each machine I'm backing up, so I don't have to check my husband's computer to be sure everything's working. I love it. And it saved my bacon when I accidentally deleted a 2 GB folder of my graduate school work. ETA: I also use Dropbox, but don't consider that a backup - more as a convenience for accessing content across devices. But, in a pinch, it's an extra copy. I also use iCloud Photo Library, so have all my photos backed up there as well (I do pay $2.99/mo for extra iCloud storage for this), and via Amazon Photos (free with Prime). And I back up to a local network attached storage drive at home. I believe in redundant backups - both onsite and off!

I back up all my photos to both Dropbox and Flickr - Flickr started offering 1TB free storage a while ago.
I have a Mac and so also back up everything with Time Machine to a Time Capsule HD. I also have a separate EHD with a cloned copy of my HD as an extra fail safe.

I'm new to using Google Drive for my photos. Since I upgraded to Google Photos on my phone, I now have unlimited photos storage in Drive for photos I talk on my phone (which, let's be real, is 95% of the photos I take). I mostly use Box for backup, I've had an account there for ages and as a result was an early tester of their app, for which they gave me 50GB free storage for life. I prefer Dropbox, but I only have 6GB of storage there, so I have to be more selective about what I put there.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll have to check out BackBlaze and Google photos.
