I love to sew. I'm no professional more of a beginner, but I do enjoy it. I also started crocheting a little last winter.

Hi kellyv! Great question! My list of what I already do would include: - Decorate for the seasons around my home
- Make things with my Silhouette
- Make leather cuffs/bracelets from vintage or thrift store belts
- Make cards (still papercrafts, I know)
What I am wanting to make time for now and have the materials for includes: - Watercolor painting
- Calligraphy
- Art journal
- Sew throw pillows and zipper pouches.
Have you seen CreativeBug? I have been really inspired by this website and am going to do the watercolor and calligraphy classes there at my own pace. The things on the want to do list are things I've done before, but have taken a back seat, and now I'm wanting to perhaps scrapbook less to make time to do these again.

I used to do a lot of cross-stitch. Mainly stopped because I don't want any more stuff to hang!
I knit - mostly kids' stuff for my niece. Also sew - although most of my sewing is on cards and layouts now I did just make myself a pair of pjs (attempting to use up my fabric stash).
I've done a few mosaics projects and still have an idea for a birdbath one day.
Card making - althougj that's still paper crafts.

atxmomwow! you are going to be a busy girl! i have not seen creativebug but will take a look. sounds like a place i need to know about. In my dream life I have hours a day for creative pursuits! In reality I will carve a little time out here and there. One thing I like about the painting and calligraphy is that they are relaxing and you don't have to have big chunks of time to enjoy them. link to CreativeBug: www.creativebug.com/?utm_source=creativebuginterstitialfullsite&utm_medium=mobilewebIts $4.95 per month and you can save a class a month to keep whether or not you continue paying. Each month you get another credit to save another class.

I knit a little. I also love to cook and bake, I make my nephews birthdays cakes every year (friend party cupcakes and family party cake) and his Halloween costumes. I also like to do Christmas crafts, I know they aRe kind ofkitschy, but I am working on a Bucilla stocking kit now and I find that quite relaxing while watching tv.

At the moment I'm writing a novel! But I also enjoy needlepointing, cross-stitching and, of course, reading.
ETA: And I love to crochet, too.

These days, I just stick to scrapbooking. In the past, I have done just about every kind of needle and fabric arts that exist — sewing, quilting, crochet, knit, weaving, spinning, embroidery, lacemaking. I also draw, paint and love typography and calligraphy. One of these days I'll get back to those other things, but right now im having fun with my pretty papers.

I like sewing and even upgraded my machine late last year, but until I get more of my stuff organized in my studio I'm not going to even think about plugging it in. I need to make some curtains for DD's room and fix her handmade Christmas stocking that got scorched hanging next to the gas fireplace two Christmases ago. (I made it for her first Christmas. It was beautiful and seeing it ruined broke my heart.) I bought her the "Give a Pig a Party" piggy from Kohl's on clearance today, and wanted to make it a little dress like the one she wears in the book. I love making bags and want to make an iPad sleeve I pinned on Pinterest a long time ago. Oh, and I need to finish the flannel rag quilt I started for DD before she was born--over 5 years ago! Only now she sleeps in a queen size bed and I'm going to have to make it bigger.
I like to bake, especially Christmas cookies, bread and pie. I like to decorate cakes and cookies too, but no one around here likes eating cookies with royal icing on them and none of us needs to eat a lot of cake. At some point I would like to take a handmade truffle class too.
I took a mosaics class two summers ago and my class project was a house number sign. I only got about 3/4 done with it because I took way too long being picky about getting the glass pieces tight for the numbers and didn't get done with the rest of the design. I need to finish it because it will be amazing once it's actually completed. I would like to do a fish mosaic on the whole top of our dining table at the cabin and then put that clear epoxy stuff over it.
I think it would be fun to do some of those mixed media canvas pieces that I see around. They look so cool and I think it would be a neat project to try.
I dabble in other things too that look interesting to me, but papercrafts are my favorite.

I sew, I have worked as a professional seamstress in the past but now I just do it for myself, family, and very close friends.
I also knit and crochet, I'm an advanced beginner at both. I can work a basic pattern and do basic stitches and shaping. No lace or cables or anything too intricate or complicated though.
I build kaleidoscopes from kits. I decorate the outer tubes and then assemble the mirrors, lenses, and object chambers inside. I know how to adjust the number of mirrors inside, and the angles of the mirrors to get different kinds of images when you look through the eyepiece.
I used to work a lot with polymer clay but haven't done that in a while.
I make jewelry, mostly beads and stuff you can assemble from craft store components. But I know how to do cold connection metalworking. I used to make glass beads, I still have pretty much everything to do it, just no space to safely do it in right now. I also do soldered art, where you sandwich paper or other things between glass and foil tape the edges then solder over the tape. Mostly pendants, but some other things.
I garden but not every season. I grow vegetables, flowers, and herbs in containers.
I used to be really into making bath and body stuff, and even sold at craft fairs, but haven't done that in a while. Every once in a while I'll make a batch of something for myself, friends, or family. But that's about it now.
I like to do altered art a lot. But that overlaps with papercrafting.
I use to do a lot of embroidery, including silk ribbon embroidery, but not so much any more.
I can do macrame! I learned that in the 1970's and occasionally I'll throw together a plant hanger or friendship bracelet.

I'm going to claim gardening (perennials and vegetables) as a creative hobby. I was an avid cross stitcher for many years but have gotten away from it. Maybe this winter I'll try again. Loved stitching on 36 or 40 ct. linen over two and making things that could be displayed on tabletops.
Card making is still my passion. I make hundreds of cards a year for charities.
I would love to learn to watercolor. Purchased all the supplies but haven't made myself sit down and try. Again, maybe a winter project.

I bought a nice one years ago from someone at an art fair. It was kind of expensive, more than I would typically spend on something like that, but for some reason I just *had* to have it. I keep it in my studio.

i have had so much fun reading this thread this morning! it is amazing to me how one creative pursuit/craft seems to always lead to another. i guess it is true that crafters gotta craft! i guess i should list my creative hobbies too:
quilting is my big one and i think i have made a quilt for just about everyone i know except myself! i love the meditative aspect of knitting but am only able to make simple things. i have lots of hats and cowls and scarves! i really want to try mittens and socks this winter. as i mentioned above, i am hoping to try sewing some simple garments (dresses and shirts, perhaps a skirt) and i would also like to make some cushion covers, throw pillows and curtains for my home
on my list to try: baking bread calligraphy start making cards again; i got into paper crafting in 1996 with rubber stamping and card making and i loved it. i need to get back to that because i am really starting to miss it!

Such crafty, creative peas!
I primarily scrap these days (with an occasional card), but I also enjoy any sort of home decor craft, sewing pillows, stuff like that. Stuff I see on Pinterest, usually! I also like sewing easy baby gifts, things like flannel burp cloths and taggie blankets. Those are a great way to use up some ribbon stash!
I have a stocking I'm sewing and hand embroidering for DS that I still need to finish. It was done enough last year to use and hang up, but I need to finish the details.
I also want to make DH a t-shirt quilt from some fave saved tees, but I seriously think that will happen when my three year old is in college. Lol!

Scrapbooking and card making are my first loves! I also make jewelry, which I actually sell at a couple of local stores and occasional craft fairs! I dabble in painting, mixed media, and knitting but not really good at any of them! LOL! I know a lot about a lot of crafts because I worked in a craft store so I had to know my stuff. That doesn't mean I was good at them though. I would really like to get better with knitting. I mostly loom knit, or finger knit, and would really like to learn how to knit with needles.
