Sleeping in with hubby this morning.
Running through puddles with youngest DD on the way to the grocery store.
Listening to Santa baby....I know it's early.

We had a really rough morning today. My DH found out, on Facebook no less, that a cousin he was very close to had suddenly and completely unexpectedly passed away in the night. He was a mess for a good part of the day.
This evening, we met got to spend some fun time playing with our 3 year old nephew and 6 month old niece. It definitely lightened the mood and made me (and more importantly my DH) smile.

THREE people asked if I lost weight. I lost a few pounds but not enough that you would notice. I guess I thought wrong. I have plenty more to go but it was definitely encouraging. And yes I'm eating. I know the drill. I gave the speech too many times to Dh, I know I need to eat.

Watching my son and 8 other senior boys do a pretty good cheer routine at halftime of the Powderpuff football game. The seniors lost the game, but definitely had the better cheerleaders!

1. Watching the eclipse of the moon with my DS and just having a nice chat. He's a teenage boy so I will take that whenever I can get it. 2. DD driving back to college called to remind me it the eclipse starting and later text to tell me she was getting some great shots with the camera I gave her for her birthday. 3. And, as always, this thread.

Had a great phone call with my mom, and dad today. I'm so glad they are still alive and I try to not take it for granted.
Was working on a baby quilt and one of the dogs came in the craft room and took a nap at my feet for a couple hours. Warmed my heart.

My nephew is in 7th grade and has been kind of shy. Today at church, I saw him interacting with people of all ages and he appeared to be having a good time. He is a great kid and thinking about him always makes me smile.
