If so, I have just the place for you! Chesaning, MI. There are four (!!) Scrapbooking Quilting retreat facilities there. Four! Three are owned by the same lady. www.creativepassionsllc.com/ We stay at CP1 usually when we go in May and have the whole facility to ourselves. However, we are hoping to try CP3 in 2016, as it just opened. CP2 is a larger facility and when we go in a smaller group we stay there in Sept with 1-2 other groups.
She has 3 locations and 2 of the 3 also have a small private 4 person space attached. (CP2B and CP3B). All of her locations are right in town. She offers week retreats and weekend retreats. Combined, they sleep nearly 60 crafters and she is always full on the weekends. I think she does pretty well with her weekly retreats, too.
Additionally, there is one other scrapbooking retreat in Chesaning. I've never stayed there. It is a full service one. I swear, Chesaning is the Scrapbook retreat capital.
And guess what, just like the rest of Michigan, not a scrapbooking store to be found. There is a Dollarish type store that carries a small row of scrapbooking supplies. There is a Close out type store that carries two larger rows of scrapbooking supplies. The stuff in both stores is cute, but the typical mis-mash of seasons past name brand stuff.
I wish I had business savvy, or even a desire to run a business but I don't, as Chesaning is convenient to me But I have neither. But if anyone else wants to open a store, I will work for you It just bums me out this amazing opportunity is not being recognized. I think if a scrapbooking store can make it anywhere, this would be the place.

Oh my gosh, those retreats looks wonderful! And the price is so reasonable! My friend in Michigan closed her (mostly online) scrapbook store six years ago. I still miss it.

If you are ever looking for a retreat here in MI I would recommend one of Creative Passsions facilities. Her retreats are not full service hosted retreats (hence the reasonable price) but they do serve a contintental breakfast (with Mimosas on Sat) and provide kitchens with all the amenities (cooking gear). She also never rooms strangers together, etc. It is such a relaxing and comfortable experience.

ooh, I wish there was someplace local like that-- the work area setups sound wonderful!! To have a Monday thru Thursday, just to spend time scrapbooking and puttering around the local shops? It sounds heavenly!!
