Follow up: Do you shout at people in another room, requiring them to get up and come into the room you're in, and then repeat whatever you shouted again because of course they couldn't tell what you were shouting?

I go back and forth. I will text if it's upstairs/downstairs, but if someone is in the kitchen I will just yell.

I facetime them. It's endlessly entertaining for me. I usually convey my message with song, dance, or as an impression. ha

Yes to both. Sometimes it is easier, sometimes it is lazier.

Hahahahaha! No, I've never texted someone in the same house. Mine you, I always forgot to take my phone out of my purse and turn it on, so if I get a text, I usually don't see it for a few hours.

Dd and I live together in a condo and will text/snapchat each other. I never raise my voice here. I'm sure the neighbors appreciate that - although I wish they would be as courteous!

Only when sending a link, or being silly. If he is in his office, and I'm in the living room (we can see each other), if we hear a train or a net, I will text him the train, or plane emoji. Heehee Oh, and yes to your follow up.

More yelling here, because my DH is not very phone-y. But I have been known to be outside and call our house phone to ask him a question.

Yes and yes. Sometimes dh gets tired of going upstairs to tell the boys something so he texts them. Sometimes he does it just to see if they'll pay attention to their phones. He has texted me from the basement or the shed.

ooh yea! So much easier then screaming up the stairs. We are in a big farmhouse, it's so much easier to text.

Yes and yes! I injured my back in August and man did I abuse the privilege of sending texts to my husband in the next room.

Yes, I text my kids and dh because I don't like to yell in the house.
Also, I will call the house phone from my cell phone. If my kids are in the basement and they see my number on the caller id, they know to pick up!

I will text and if I don't get a response right away I proceed to yelling. That. Our texts are a lot of "can you turn the air up/down" type stuff.

I don't text but I do facebook message DH and the older two kids. Otherwise I get up and go to where they are - our house layout isn't conducive to hollering...you truly can't hear

What's more - sometimes I yell gibberish knowing that DH can't understand it so he'll come within earshot and then I say what I need to. Am I going to hell now?

Yes. And sometimes I text when we're actually sitting in the same room 5 ft away from each other.

Texting while in the house, horrible. Ha! Yes I do all the time. I hate repeating myself. Teens can't say what to a text. It is sin and clear! I also text DH while I am in tub asking for him to bring glass of water up with him. I have also done with friends when we are around others. Sometimes you just can't say, what a moron out loud!
