Well I got one Halloween layout from my last crop finished, another one that I struggled to start completely done, and a third layout done that I only had the photos printed, cropped and matted. We didn't really get started until about lunchtime, so I thought that was pretty good for me. When I started to get tired, I worked on organizing some stuff for a bit. I got a couple bins of mixed stuff sorted out where it really belonged and combined a couple more half bins of stuff for my DD into one bin plus put all of her stuff together so I don't have to keep trying to find where it all is.
I have a few more groups of printed pics that I want to find some sketches for. The sketches I was using (Scrapbook Generation! Yeah!) were working pretty well to help speed me up a little and that's a very good thing.
Does anyone have a suggestion for sketches that have 5x7 photos? I know I can alter some of the ones in the books, but sometimes it's hard making things fit when you're trying to squeeze in a bigger picture, and I often like some of my photos big!

crazy4scraps, SG sketchbooks sometimes have sketches that include 5x7 photos... one book that should be good for this is the Travel Sketchbook, that uses mostly 4x6 photos and has larger spaces (you know, for the 'Captain's Dinner' 8x10 photos, etc.) I have that book at home; I can take a look at it and let you know how many of the sketches allow for a larger photo, if that would help you out (if you're in the market for purchasing a sketchbook, that is). If you find any sketches that have two horizontal 4x6s (one on top of the other), it should be fairly easy to turn that into a 5x7 space. Shimelle's sketches fairly often have two 4x6s right next to each other...

my progress so far-- I attended a 12-hour crop on Saturday, which helped a lot. My BF is gone on a business trip this entire week, so I'm also going to scrap every evening after work and take Friday off work to have a mini-crop on my own! 1) I have three month-in-review layouts partly done that I'd like to finish two out of the three done; yay!!2) I have photos printed for four layouts I want to make: a) Day Trip to Jerome-- 2 page b) Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum-- 2 page-- chose the sketch and started cutting the papers this morning before work (you do what you gotta do, right?? lol!)
c) Day Trip to Gila Bend-- 2 page the idea of making this layout is not exciting to me at all, so it will probably end up being a simple grid or pocket page, just to get it done.
d) Creative Chaos-- 1 page chose the sketch
3) I need to start choosing photos for the vacation mini-albums I'm making for Christmas presents no progress on this whatsoever...
4) Decided I would participate in Jennifer McGuire's card drive for senior citizens / nursing homes; picked up some gorgeous Authentique Christmas paper with vintage-postcard looking 3x4 cards that I'm going to use for my cards. Now I just need to pick up a set of card blanks at M's or J's.

I have that one and will have to look at it again. I saw the layouts with the places for 8x10's but didn't really notice any for 5x7's. I'll have to check out some of Shimelle's sketches too. I found a few that will work when I Googled it and already printed them out. A lot of the layouts with 5x7 spots don't always have too many other pics on them and that doesn't really work for me.

...now that you mention it, perhaps it is spaces for 8x10s that I'm thinking of... you should be able to 'scrunch' in the adjacent photos a bit to make a 5x7 fit in that space, though, maybe??

-Finish WITL (Mon & Sun done)
-Scrapbook (or work on transferring my scrapbook stuff to the new basement area) after baby goes to bed instead of wasting time on the internet
-Finish at least one page a week (I've finished four so far in October, yay)
-Work on turning my hiking albums into story albums (I've made a list of missing stories plus framework pages I need to make)

Congratulations on your achievement!
I spent the last few days at the Expo, and got some new fun kits to make. I have a feeling my Fall album might be derailed, especially since a lot of the pictures I want to use need to be printed from negatives, and I decided to make it bigger than originally intended. Also, I made another Halloween banner instead of working on the album. We'll see how this week goes. My goals may change, or get carried over to November. Today I'm going to play with my new stuff.

I only have 2 main goals this month because I think it will take a good chunk of the month to accomplish them: * finish my PL2013 last month I was able to put pl cards in the slots for June - Dec and completely embellish and journal June and July yay but I still have Aug thru Dec to complete, I will be so happy when it is done * I am going to a 3 day crop on October 23/24/25 so I want to organize what I am doing for that. Make up some layout kits, I have some cards I want to C.A.S.E. so I need to get those organized and I also want to start working on my December daily and get the album filler pages done so I need to sit down and sketch out and c.a.s.e. some ideas I have pinned on my pinterest boards. Good Luck with everyone accomplishing their goals this month! Well I went to the crop and I made up 14 kits and got 9 almost 10 done yay! I didn't do up a DD kit or card kits because I realized I needed to focus on layouts and my pl.
I managed to edit and print off the rest of November and December's photos for pl and managed to put them in my pl pages at the crop.
Today I hope to at least get the rest of the pl cards in the empty slots for the rest of the pages that are missing them. Ugh it is baby steps but I am getting there slowly but surely haha!

My goal for October is to finish getting my scraproom usable. I started painting an old tv armoire to store my supplies, and I hope to be done with it by the end of next weekend. Then I can put everything away with a home for everything. That will let me get going on a big set of cards for my mom's Christmas present. I hope to start on the cards before the end of October. Totally doable. I didn't do too badly. The armoire is almost finished -- I'm putting down some contact paper on the shelves today. The details took me forever -- LOL "I hope to be done with it by the end of next weekend." Ha! I can clear off my table tomorrow. Not everything has a home, but at least I can get to work in there. Haven't started on the cards yet, but I am ready to start this week. Not too shabby.

Mon + Fri-Sun are done now and I was going to finish it this week, but then my dog passed away and I lost all motivation. Although hmmm, now I suddenly remembered that one of the days is full of dog photos, so maybe it'll feel good to work on that particular day. Not wasting time on the intarwebs: doing better, but not great. One page a week: success! Have finished 7 pages plus 2 that just need some finishing touches. Story album: going really well! Need to take pics and blog about it. I'm really loving this project.

Well, I wasnt a total fail. I made several Halloween banners, but I didn't complete my fall album. Once I got started, I decided to make it about 10 times more complicated, and to include photos that need to be printed from negatives. The good news is I've pulled all of the negatives. It's still on the agenda for next month. Sorry about your dog, smultringunn.
