I would be interested in where you are walking? And if it is your first time? We are just getting ready but the weather is really not that good for taking pics here in New York, but it's our third time walking and the last years have always been a lot of fun.

We are just getting ready but the weather is really not that good for taking pics here in New York, but it's our third time walking and the last years have always been a lot of fun. I didn't go on an official photo walk with other photographers. But I did take photos. Our weather was GORGEOUS! (not to rub it in, just so unusual) We have a regatta festival going on the Oklahoma River. I found a place to take some river photos with young kids racing. I'll post some tomorrow.

Oklahoma City is a training area for Olympic kayakers and rowing teams. Today was a regatta. We were hoping to catch the dragon boat races but missed them. We did get to enjoy the determination of some young paddlers finishing a children's race. The juxtaposition of the large grain elevator normally seen in very rural farm areas and the kayaks was amusing to me.

voltagain you were so lucky! The weather was so bad - rainy and windy - that this year's photowalk resulted in the least pictures I've ever taken on such an event! Most of the time we had to put the cameras away, so they didn't get harmed by the weather... but the company was fun and we only returned home at 11 at night, so all in all it was a good event

I'm not part of any photo group, but I work in NYC, and I go out every day during my lunch hour to walk and take photos. I don't take my 35mm into the city because it's heavy and I don't want it damaged or destroyed, so I just use my iPhone 6. It takes great pictures. Today I walked up to Rockefeller Plaza, and took a couple dozen photos of the buildings, architectural details, some interior shots of the awesome stuff at Anthropologie, etc. I'm doing an upgrade at the moment on my iOS, I'll post a couple of pictures when it's updated. I post a lot of my daily photos on Instagram, you can check them out here.

Thanks! I must say, the iPhone 6 does take great photos. My old 4S was pretty good too, but it had its limits! My hubby has the iphone6 and I really like the pictures he's taking. Due to not being happy with my pics I'm using Instagram not so much lately..
