I was searching for game-day fashions and came across a lot of boots being worn! I can't imagine tackling Ben Hill Griffin stadium in boots, but oh, well.......they look kinda cute. ETA: Ya'll are funny! Loved your replies - thanks! I am not tackling the Swamp in anything boot the most comfortable, most supportive shoes a girl can buy-and it wouldn't be any kind of boot. Then again, I am beyond the point of trying to be cute at the game, a very long way from the student section and more than likely sitting with the rest of the sensible shoe set.

I have 2 dd's. one just grad'd college, one currently in college. So that would be a big NO. But they both go to college in MN. And their mascots have nothing to do with the west. soooo, yea.

Boots here (Oklahoma) have never been out of style. No matter the season a cowboy boot is always the right choice. Even with a short gauzy sundress. If you are rooting for the Cowboys, Sooners, Broncos.. boots are right.

Cowboy boots aren't very popular here in general, but riding boots sure are. I've worn them to football games and have been far from alone. Football season = Han Solo season

Santa brought me the most fab pair of Florida State cowboy boots last Christmas that I am itching to break out and wear. We are heading to Tallahassee in a couple of weeks so hopefully, the weather will cooperate for me, and I can wear my new kicks. I'm sure they will kill my feet and by the end of the game, I will be in tears, but I am going to look cute.

Boots and sundresses in warm weather, riding boots and jeans in cool weather. it's kind of a uniform.

I have never heard of "game day fashion" nor knew anything like that existed and I find it weird. However, I do know that a lot of people find cowboy boots extremely comfortable and wear them everywhere.

Why is it weird, grinningcat? I have a whole section of my closet devoted to just game day gear. Boots, hats, dresses, scarves, and jewelry all with our logo or in garnet and gold. It is basically my uniform during football season.

Not here... But I'm in Ohio. I think they're almost a requirement in the south.

Other than that, fashion's not a reason to consider when it comes to sports in my world.

Maybe it's a southern thing?

But if you cross the river and attend a Bison football game, you know they're wearing cowboy boots over there. I have a huge selection of game day clothes, but I'm going to hockey games. Lots of boots in the arena - usually paired with skinny jeans, boot cuffs, and team sweatshirts with a coordinating infinity scarf. Very few pairs of cowboy boots.

There was a time when I had a game day wardrobe- I get it! And for me it's sport specific, for example, I don't attend enough baseball to have it- or care but I have friends with complete outfits, even at this age.

It's obvious you aren't in Texas! Boots are year-round wear here. Ha. GypsyGirl beat me to it. It's also the defacto girls High School graduation picture "uniform". Cute little sundress with cowboy boots. I seriously could not tell you how many pictures we took of senior girls in the sundress/boots combo for their senior pictures. Totally adorable, IMO.

Being in the south and the SEC, it has been a day of football and fashion! It always mattered to the girls on dressing and I mean DRESSING for the game. The fraternity guys would wear jackets and ties. I think that has relaxed a bit. It just depends on the game. I am now a parent but still make sure that I am game ready with the proper colors being worn. Weather permitting we look good. Come the colder temps, we still look good but under hats and scarves. I would post a pic of my DD yesterday but that pic is on my phone. Lots of scaves, hats, boots, heels, and the like for the college girls. I don't see many cowboy boots at the games. I just see them all over town any other time though. Big horse wearing, rodeo people around here.

I see Ropers, riding boots and Romeos a lot at the high school and college games. But Romeos look more like a work boot/shoe. We are Pacific Northwest country with a lot of fishing, hunting and livestock people.

Way back in the dark ages (of Emmitt Smith) we were at one of the mid-day games over in the cheap seats (the student section) right up on the first row. It was so hot that the team we were playing was passing out gatorade to those of us in the stands. I was about ready to get naked I was so hot.

If it's a Devils game, I also have my necklace, earrings, and devils horns. I also have devil horns for my car. My mother wears her lucky shirt to watch the Broncos. If they are sucking, she might change it. Then there needs to be a new lucky shirt.

The most people dress up around here (that I have noticed) is wearing a jersey. I don't see outfits or fashion. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places but it's just not done here.

We went to a game in the SEC two years ago and that was all the college girls wore. Short skirts or dresses (in team colors of course) and cowboy boots. Cute but not practical.

You don't even see it on Facebook on game day? If not, it must be a "not in Canada" thing because on game days, my FB feed is full of game fashion wearing friends. Oh, and I live in Texas, so cowboy boots are worn to games. And the grocery store. And weddings. And church.

Judging by girls here it's also the outfit for concerts, date night, and most shopping. Unless your subbing shorts for the sundress. For church you add a cardigan. Starts around fifteen, fourteen years old. Not just the older kids.

Way back in the day, we always dressed up for football games. Dresses, sometimes hose and heels , but always a dress unless it was really cold.
Nowadays they seem to be more casual but I see lots of sundresses and boots. Some girls wear jeans but they look nice, with boots and cute tops. Not sloppy stuff.
