I'm feeling astrological today and I just wanted to share some ideas as to possibly why you don't. Though this may not be new information:
Possibility 1: If you were born on a cusp in between the transition of the sun from one sign to the next it would depend on the date, year and time you were born to accurately determine what sign the sun was in.
Possibility 2: According to Astronomy there are more planets and stars than the sun. So according to Astrology you have more than your sun sign. And if you have more influences occurring in another sign than your sun sign, it could dominate over your sun and you may feel more familiar with it than your zodiac. Like someone could be an Aries but have more influence in Pisces, and feel more at home with those traits.
Possibility 3: You may feel more like the sign in your moon, or the sign that was on the horizon when you were born. Because these can be strong influences in your personality.
For those who read their horoscope and don't feel like it fits, it may be because of one of the above reasons.
If you don't feel like your zodiac and intrigued to find one with a better fit, list what it is below and explain why you don't.

I watched a Bill Nye video in which he explained all the signs are off by one because positions of stars and us have changed over millennia. Maybe people don't think it applies because it's all hooey.

I think astrology is a nonsense to be honest, and I haven't read my horoscope since I was a silly little teenager who wanted to know whether the boy I liked was going to ask me out. I am a Virgo and I have no idea what traits I am supposed to have. Once in a while my BFF, who believes in this kind of stuff, says to me "You're such a typical Virgo!" What does that mean??? I once read that Virgos are supposed to be tidy. That's a laugh, because I am one of the most untidy people I know. I am on the cusp of Libra FWIW. I have no idea what star sign most of my friends and family are. I know that DD is one of the ones starting with S (Scorpio or Sagittarius). DSO I have absolutely no idea. I know that DS is Libra because his birthday is 2 days after mine.

Maybe people don't think it applies because it's all hooey. There is another Astrology called Sidereal that is like an evolved type of Astrology that keeps changing. Each sign has a different span of degrees. It even has an extra sign: Ophicius I still believe that Tropical or Western Astrology has a foundational influence, but there other Astrologies that go deeper within the psyche. Like Mayan Astrology that goes into 4th dimensional stuff. This is just more surfaced stuff. And I said for those who do read their horoscopes, unless that would include those who read them and believe they are reading hooey stuff but still for some reason do. Personally I don't delve into things that I don't believe in. ETA: Western Astrology is based on the seasons, which don't change their time of cycle. eg: The sun is in Libra cause it's the beginning of fall.

And unless there was someone else who was born at the same place, date, year and time as you, then your astrology chart is unique from anyone else's, even Virgos. The classic traits of a Virgo according to Astrology include: reserved, modest, practical, perfectionist, analytical, and seeking to know and understand. Not a daydreamer but a day-doer. Most likeable trait: conscientious. The classic traits of a Libra include: active, artistic, easygoing, peaceful, prizes beauty and harmony, and socially inclined. Most likeable trait: Charm It sounds like you could be on the cusp with Libra since your son's birthday is just 2 days after yours. So you may relate with both signs if not one or the other.

I view horoscopes as working with the law of averages. They throw out really general information/advice and odds are that it is going to fit someone. Read them long enough and one of these days one will be right for you! They can be a fun, light-hearted read, but not something I would plan my life and finances around. I agree and I don't read them myself anymore. I do follow when the moon is new to start new things and when it's full to wallow in the gifts they brought. But I don't let Astrology rule may life cause I just see it as an influence that I can very much relate with. I'm more interested in my natal chart ( where the planets were when I was born) and see how much I resonate with the description that's meant to paint my view on life.
