For some unknown reason, I had it in my head that I didn't like clementines. This past week they were on sale at my grocery store and I could smell them when I went in. They smelled so delicious, I just had to buy them. They are so yummy and I have no clue why I thought I didn't like them. I have been missing out for 45 years. I have a lot to make up for Have you ever done that? Convinced yourself that you didn't like a certain thing, but ended up loving it later?

I'm addicted to them. I eat 3-4 a day.

not me, but my boyfriend, and it's the same thing- Clementines! I have a tough time getting him to eat ANY fruit or vegetables, so I am amazed that he just loves those things. (but he's gotten snobbish about it; only the Halo cuties for him-- apparently they're a lot easier to peel than just 'any old' clementine, lol!)
ETA: me- growing up in Illinois, I thought I didn't like avocado or guacamole; for close to 40 years Turns out it was Taco Bell's Mexican food that I really didn't like, lol, because now that we live in AZ, I LOVE (a good) guacamole!

There are certain dinners that I grew up with that I only appreciate as an adult. I found them to weirdtasting as a kid, but my adult palate is loving it. Some of the things I was struggeling with was the combinations of the foods on my dinnerplate. They were fine seperatly, but together I didn't like them. Now I HAVE to have them together And clementines are the BEST! When they are in season here, in the month before and after Christmas, I will almost eat them till I drop. At least they are a healthy snack. BUt eating 9 in one sitting makes you REALLY need the bathroom. Just saying

when I was a kid, I couldn't understand how anyone would want to eat a RARE steak, and had mine cooked to 'shoe leather' consistency. (with ketchup on, for good measure!)
Now as an adult, I think the other way about it-- I don't understand how anyone would want to eat a well-done steak, lol! and ketchup wouldn't get anywhere near it!!

I haven't been able to find decent clementines for years. I've tried Cuties and Halos. I think I'll try Darling Clementines again. They're not US grown but I remember them always tasting good.

I love clementines. Years and years ago, when I was still a "tween", I was convinced that I hated Corn Flakes, but when I tried them, I really liked them.

I love clementines, tangerines, mandarins, satsumas. Any small orangey product really! Even kumquats. I eat far more vegetables as an adult than I ever did as a child or teen. I really didn't like the taste of most vegetables. As I got older, I realised it was basically my mum's cooking of them that was the problem!

Love clementines! Send one in my son'a lunch everyday. Teachers have thanked me, because he has always been able to peel them without help.
