My dh tries every Monday at 5:45 but rarely gets anyone.

It really depends on the area. If you are in an area where there are always lots of ubers availabke, it is a pretty sure bet. If not, I wouldn't count on it.
I was able to get an uber around 5 am in Salt Lake, but there was only 1 on the map. Apparently some people drive before their day jobs. Chicago, no problem. Depends on the market and driver saturation.

My friend's husband is an uber driver and starts work at 5am. I would guess it depends on where you live, just check tomorrow morning how many drivers are on the road in your area.

I live in Chicago and have used them at 3am. No issues at all and no extra charges for early morning service.
