So 17 year old DD dropped her iPhone on carpet a few weeks ago and the screen cracked. She saved $100 to get the screen replaced. We also bought a tempered glass screen to put over it and a case. A few days later she dropped again and the tempered glass was fine but the screen cracked again underneath it! Arghhhhh!!!
Talked to to out cell phone provider today and they did an override so she's upgrading to the iPhone 6. I am looking at LifeCase and Urban Armor. Which do you like? Has anyone had luck with the tempered glass protectors?

I have an Otterbox on my Motorola Droid Mini. I've flung it across the room, dropped it, etc, multiple times and never had an issue. Although it has a Kevlar shell and Gorilla Glass My niece and nephew have only ever used LifeProof for their iPhones, mostly because they swim year round and needed something water proof. I think if they work for teenagers, they should work for anyone

We prefer & highly recommend the expensive LifeProof cases; none of our phones have sustained damage, despite occasional drops. Our teen son's phone has survived two years & counting; while the case has battle scars, the phone inside still looks like new!

Thanks Snow White! I'd love to hear the story of why you threw it across the room!

My ds has a 4s which has a urban armor case that he loves. I have an otterbox and have dropped my phone many times (no throwing though . Both of our phones are in great shape. The urban armor gear case is much lighter than my rubbery otterbox which is why he loves it..easy in and out of pockets.

Thanks Snow White! I'd love to hear the story of why you threw it across the room! I never purposefully throw it, sometimes it just slips outta your hand Like the other day when I threw it at the young boy working the drive thru at Dunkin' Donuts. He caught it, thankfully, after it bounced on the corner of the drive thru window before it ricocheted into the puddle on the ground. Yay Otterbox! Although because the Otterbox is not completely sealed waterproof, had it fallen into the puddle, I would have had to get a new phone
