How do I lock down the amount of data that can be used on our phones? We have 6gb between the 3 of us. I want to limit the amount my kids can use per month. When they use it, they are done. I can't figure out how to do this. They told me at the store to go to My Verizon but I can't figure it out from there.

I am wondering if you could just take them in and have them do it for you...

Thanks nurseypants. I will try it when she gets home. Says the device needs to be off.

It is on the website. We have it for our phones. But, I can't remember how to get there. Maybe under Family Base? I know it's a pain to find when I want to go in and tweak ours.
I get an email and the kids get alerts when they start getting close to the data caps I setup for them. When they reach their max, they can't use anymore data until the new billing cycle.

You can go into either the family area or the plan and put a cap on how much data each phone can usr.

Yep family base.
I love my 16 year old but she chose to use all of our shared data in a week. We put family base on our phones, set her data limit. She has to pay the extra 4.99 a month and had to pay for the extra data we had to buy for that month.

Ironically, I have to ask (ok, it's easier than figuring it out on my own) the kids to set up the limits. cmpeter same with my kids but I hardly ever reach my share of data so if it's near the end of a cycle, I will let them have some of mine. Just a temporary raise for a few days. DS used extra (or part my leftovers) once- so far.

Yep, it's pretty easy on our current phones but it probably would have taken me 10 minutes to do or find what they did in 10 seconds. Darn know it all kids. They grew up on tech. It's in their blood. They barely have to even think about it.
