Anyone else have a sore throat this morning? If the post-season continues the way the last 2 games have been, I'm going to lose my voice completely. And I'm perfectly ok with that.

It will definitely be an entertaining series. There was no love lost between the two teams in the regular season.

freebird, I wondered if you got tickets for one of the games. Lets go Royals! and I've bought my pumpkin for Halloween, so we're all set for post season baseball here!

I'm looking at the first game tickets (not much left!) now to talk my husband into it. LOL. I want to go to the series badly, just once in my life (it's literally written down on my bucket list). Playoff tickets aren't too bad!

I'm super excited. I've been not watching the games. I feel like I'll jinx them. LOL My sister's boyfriend texted me from the back room of the fire station during Wednesday's game. Apparently he went in there to change and they Royals rallied, so they told him he couldn't come back out until after the game. They were giving him game updates over the PA system.

I don't watch baseball, but since I am in Kansas it's all they are talking about on the radio shows. This morning the dj's were speculating there was going to be a celebratory baby boom in 9 mo! Ha!

ALCS will be on it and regular Fox I believe. Should be a fun series. I am going to root for the Jays. I like several of their players. And while the Royals are talented, I am not much of a fan.

Lots of screaming in our house! The phrase "He finally earned his paycheck" was used regarding more than one player. Then K-MO proved yet again why Dayton Moore knows how to make genius moves in the off season

I'm sad that the Cardinals are not going farther, but excited that the Royals are!!! Both my son-in-law and my son work for Kauffman Stadium/Aramark/Royals so I am glad that the season is extended for them! I'd love to go to a World Series game there!

I lived in KC during the I-70 games.. it was so cool.. the year I graduated from high school... anyways.. GO ROYALS... I'll never ever root for the Chiefs.. but I do love the Royals. (as much as someone who doesn't really watch baseball much until something interesting is happening...haha)

We were rooting for the Royals last night because my ds called and told us if they won last night's game he would get to be part of the National Anthem Flag bearers at Friday's game!!!!
So if you see some Airforce members helping hold the Flag tomorrow at the game, one of them is my son!!! He is pretty dang excited to be a part of that and get to see the game. He is a huge baseball fan.
Good luck Royal fans!
I'm a San Diego Padre fan so it's been a long while since we have seen post season. ☺️

We live in a different part of KS so it wasn't his dept, but it still deeply affects all of them when something like that happens.

You do realise that it was a small group of fans that did it not the entire fan base of the team, right? And I highly doubt that it's only Jays fans that would do that. So basically, because of your statement, I hope the Jays slaughter the Royals.

Playoff tickets aren't too bad! My husband/son owe me a WS ticket!! Last year when KC made the post-season, my SIL & BIL (who live in that area) were able to score some season tickets, which included a number of post-season & WS tickets. We were offered 2 of them, and like the good wife/mother I am, I stepped down so the two of them could go. We could never have afforded it on our own, so it was definitely a life event for them. Hopefully I'll get another shot at one this year.

I think the Jays fans were rude for throwing garbage on the field but they don't represent everyone. Go Jays go! My hubby and 3 friends are flying cross country to go to the Monday Tuesday games in Toronto. Nosebleed seats but they are excited.

I think it's beyond ridiculous to think that all Blue Jays fans are rude. Wasn't there a fan shot dead after a game in Dallas a few weeks ago? Toronto is a pretty safe place. Let me ask you Sharon.... Are you big mouthed and abnoxious? When I travel through Europe, that is the reputation that Americans have. Not really fair since the majority of Americans that I know are really nice people. A few asses and a sweeping generalization by some have provided that reputation. This was Toronto after the game Party on the streets This is typically Canadian. People partying on the street but only when the light turns red. They return to the sidewalk to let the traffic through on the green light. It's a beautiful city. Yordano Ventura has shot his mouth off many times on twitter. Directly tweeting and trying to intimidate Jose Bautista. He did delete them shortly afterward but there are screenshots online. Pretty rude if you ask me. I hope the best team wins.

Yes, I would consider that rude.....along with through beer cans down on the field and having to clear the Rangers off the field.

I didn't say all fans. I just said fans. I doubt I'm big mouthed and obnoxious. My husband says I won't stand up for myself. I don't even know who Yordano Ventura is. I also saw all the rude comments the blue jays fans posted on the Rangers page. I would never go to an opposing teams page and post the things they said. I also posted this in the Go Royals post not the Blue Jays post.

The thing about posting crap about fans, even on a post that is specifically there to cheer on your team is that, anybody can read it. Me? I was here to wish the Royals fans a good series but got distracted by your smack-talking. So, here's wishing a good series to the Royals fans! (Except Sharon, for whom my previous sentiment still applies.) eta* okay, nm, if you don't know who Ventura is, that rules out a Royals fan. A Rangers fan?
