A sweet woman has been donating her breastmilk to us in anticipation of our upcoming adoption. I'd like to get a necklace made for her on etsy. I'm thinking something stamped. The breastfeeding sign is a mom nursing her baby, but I want to more encapsulate the notion of milk as a gift. Can anyone help me think of a design idea that I could give an etsy artist? I know there is actual breast milk jewelry out there but I don't know if she'd be grossed out by it or not.

Personally, I would keep it simple and non-obvious what the symbolism is. If I were to get a piece of jewelry as a gift I would want it to be something I could wear often. Something like a dove to symbolize that she brought you help, peace, was your angel, etc. would be nice. It would be meaningful for her and she could choose to share the story if she wished.

in anticipation of our upcoming adoption I don't know how I missed this before now, but congratulations! I'm so happy for you & your family. As for the necklace for your breastmilk donor, I would keep it something non-obvious that it was specifically for breastmilk. I like this idea: Something like a dove to symbolize that she brought you help, peace, was your angel, etc. would be nice.

Is Matthew excited to be getting a brother or sister? He's so excited, that it's actually made the wait heartbreakingly hard. He asks multiple times a week if today is the day. He can't wait!
