Gloves. First thing to come to mind. Especially for the kids who tend to lose just one of a pair. I tend to stock up at the end of season sales when i can get them for as low as $1/pair.
Toilet paper. I always feel better when I have a ton of this in the house.
Socks. I like having plenty so that i can just toss one if it gets a hole in it.
Diapers & wipes (when the kids were in that age range). Because no one wants to realize they are running out of diapers in the middle of the night.
School supplies. LOOOOOOVE back to school shopping. We have a ridiculous amount of pencils just waiting for their time.
I'm sure there are so many other things (I'll add as I think of them or see ones I agree with!)
Add yours!!

Tank tops. I hate when they are stained. As a teacher I wear one almost daily under other things so I don't give anyone a show.

Potatoes and frozen peas....for some reason I feel obliged to buy them even when I know I haven't run out.
And cosy socks.....when winter is on the horizon I become slightly obsessed with winter socks. We don't even have months of snow and ice like many of you have but I get a very strong urge to plan for the worst - and apparently that means having warm feet is a priority!

Funny, now that you mention it, me too! Growing up, for whatever reason our household only had one pair, and it was always a real pain in the hiney too have to go and try to find where the last person left them. We have lots of this in our house too.

handbags and shoes! Books, a person can never have too many books. Cameras, they don't even have to work. If I see a cool looking camera in a charity shop I just buy it for decorative purposes. Coffee. Mugs. Knickers and bras.

Scrapbooking stuff. It's a disease!
ETA: I must have a thing with lip balm too because I must have about four of them in my purse right now and DD has a drawer full of them at home.

Feminine hygiene products. Not something I ever want to run out of. Same with toilet paper. Shoes. Purses. Canned pasta sauce and dry pasta. Hats. I have all kinds of fedoras, newsboy caps, formal dress hats, straw hats, etc. Scarves (fashion, not winter). Lined paper and notebooks. Perfume. Bread. I have bread in the freezer at all times, and bread in the bread bin, and never even use it all before it goes mouldy.

Toilet paper. My mom raised three kids on welfare and her SSDI. We always ran out of TP. I have at least two 48 packs as back up at all times.
No show socks. Four females in the house with the same sick size = stealing Mom's socks.
Feminine Hygeine products---again, four females in the house with varied preferences. Lord help me if someone doesn't have the pad she prefers.

yarn underwear/bras - I want new underwear every few months. socks mechanical pencils - my kids go through them like paper. They grab a new one every other week or more. At one point, one kid had 6 of them in his pocket. Why? One for each class. ziploc baggies thread pens - all my favorites disappear laundry soap - I'm always afraid I'm going to run out. I use those packets and will buy another package when I open one so I always have one unopened package in the house.

With three boys I never have enough:
Paper towel Dish soap Toilet paper Body wash Cheez-its Yogurt Gloves Socks Winter hats
For me it's canned goods, dry pasta, scissors, nail clippers, funky socks, scentsy bars, office supplies. The office supply catalog at work to me is like the Sears Wishbook is to kids.

A few things, but the main culprit for me is socks, socks and more socks. I need a patch or a support group.

Toilet paper Beans Laundry detergent. The other day I discovered Rite Aid has started selling Persil, I was so tempted to grab a bottle, but with about 4,584,403 bottles of detergent already at home I managed to put it back on the shelf (but I did take the lid off and smell it - flashback to my childhood) Grey & Black sweaters, long sleeved T-shirts, T-shirts.

Cute notebooks. I'm attracted by both leather bindings and bright graphics on the spiral bound type. I have notebooks I never use in all possible sizes.

Anything from Daiso. I swear I go in there for one thing and end up buying one of everything that they sell. I also can never pass up writing paper or little storage boxes and bottles.
