How do you clean the backs of clear stamps that won't stay on the block? I have some that don't stick and fall off the block. These are my favorite and most used stamps. So it's not the type of material, because they used to stick. I use alcohol-free and fragrance-free baby wipes to clean the ink off, but it's not working on the side that clings to the block. I've also tried SU stamp cleaner and scrubby pad.
Any ideas? Maybe Dawn dish soap? I also have some rubber stamps on EZMount that are also not staying on the blocks.
Thanks in advance.

I did read somewhere, sorry but I can't seem to remember where, that if you use warm soap and water and let them dry that they should get their stick back. I just googled "acrylic stamps not sticking" and the first thread that popped up was a 2Peas thread. :-(. It basically said the same thing, warm soapy water.

Yep, washing them w/ soap & water does the trick. When I've been stamping a lot with the same stamp I wash them afterwards instead of using a stamp cleaner & scrubber. Just seems to really get it clean before I put it back on the carrier sheet.

Thanks for the replies and sorry for not coming back to check sooner. I did try Googling, but I would rather take the advice my "friends" rather than strangers on the internet!

Great advice! I'm not much of a stamper but will keep this in mind. Thanks!

For the ezmount rubber stamps I just put a little bit of dot adhesive on mine and it works like a charm

you can also use a little bit of adhesive on the back for them to stick again if the soap & water thing doesn't work. adhesive also works really well on rubber stamps that have no cling to them.
