Has anyone used some other album for their DD other than the ones Ali offers on her site?
I did not order an album with my DD because I wasn't in love with any of them and was wondering what other options people have used.

Last year I used one of those 4x4 albums for mine, I just printed out 1-2 pics a day (4x4s) and cut down patterned paper from my stash to use for journaling. And I used minimal embellishments and labels and Thickers when there was room or on the facing pages. It ended up being really simple and pretty cute. I put it together at the end of the holidays in an afternoon. I love the idea of Ali's larger album but I have to say, the simplicity of the tiny book was just what I needed last year.

I don't use Ali's kit, like casualscrapbooker I use my stash. Last year I used a 6x6 album without the page protectors (so made my pages 6 x 7 and a bit). I've also used Snap albums, a Heidi Swapp album that was a little bit taller, and small ring binders from the office supply store which I covered in calico.

I do a 9 by 9 album and bind it with my Cinch. I have to get some use out of that thing...

I like to do 8x8 so I can include some enlargements on some of the pages. I've used a few different kinds. I prefer postbound books in general, but my books get pretty thick so I picked up a couple of We R 3-ring books to try out. If I don't like them, I can always move the pages to a different album.

I saw that Michaels had a nice red chevron album for sale. I think it was a 6 x 8. It was $14.99.

I am using the Heidi Swapp gold glitter album in the 8X8 size. I plan on using a variety of different sized page protectors and the Stampin Up Project Life Christmas set. I have never used different sizes of protectors and I thought this would be a good project to experiment in.

I don't have one now, but I'm happy to take one. Mine is verrrrry basic so I'm a little embarrassed to show it to you guys. ? But all of our memories are there so I can complain too much. I'll take a few pics in the daylight tomorrow or Friday and post them here.
